So, in the midst of writing the story I'm currently posting, I came up with this crazy idea here. I figured I'd start up a topic with a huge poll and let people vote on things, and then after leaving it up for a week or so, I'd take the top results from each category and try to make a story out of it.

I don't have very many rules for this, but I'll explain the few that I do hope people will follow.

One, All poll questions are multiple choice. You can pick as many things in each one as you want, even things that might be mutually exclusive. That said, please don't actually vote for everything. That will ultimately just make this more difficult in the end.

Two, some choices within a question are marked with a label in parentheses. This was just a way for me to get around only being allowed three poll questions in one thread. They are still organized by category, and votes for choices in one label will not affect the results in another label.

And three, my usual guidelines of what I'm not comfortable writing still apply. Basically, that means I'm not going to be doing any fanfiction, and I'm most likely only going to be writing female sneezing. I'm perfectly okay with writing m/f, f/f or m/m relationships if the story gives rise to them in a coherent way, but as far as the sneezing goes it's all going to be female. I'm also going to avoid writing an 18+ story for now, but if this experiment is successful, maybe I'll try another one with adult options in the future.

That's about it for rules, so now I'll try to clarify some of the poll options.

Character

These options are hopefully the most straightforward. There are choices for personality as well as appearance, some of which are mutually exclusive. That said, don't feel like you can't vote for all the ones you like. As far as appearance goes, I kept the choices limited to fetishy things, namely the nose, because I figured that's what people would be most interested in, and in general I like to leave my characters' appearances relatively ambiguous so people can see them however they want to.

Plot

The options here are a little more complex, but I hope they're not too confusing still. There are three labels this time, for sneezing, scenarios and genre. Most of the sneezing and scenario options aren't mutually exclusive, but a couple of the genres are. One clarification I should make is that "Real-World" and "Slice Of Life" are not the same. Real-World simply refers to a setting that takes place in our reality, while Slice Of Life is a plot type where the characters simply go through their daily lives. Depending on how people vote, we could end up with something like a Real-World Adventure or a Sci-Fi Slice Of Life.

Other Stuff

To me, this is where the fun comes in. Despite the fact that this is a fetish forum, I feel like a lot of people are still embarrassed when it comes to posting about the weirder things that they enjoy. That reason alone is half of why I decided to do this in the first place. This poll is totally anonymous, so if you have something weird you want to request, you can do so without putting a name to yourself. Anyway, while few of the options in this category are mutually exclusive, I will probably be very selective about how many I put in. Having all of them could potentially be fun, but I think it would be very hard to write. Also, for clarification, Alien Protagonist and Fantasy Creature Protagonist refer to fictional races that are still mostly human, i.e. a Vulcan, an Elf, etc...

I think that about wraps it up. Though, naturally, if you choose the "Other" option for any of the poll questions, please let me know what your other choice actually refers to! Posting here or sending me a PM are both fine in that case. If I get a bunch of votes for other and no followup letting me know what they are, I'm going to be very confused.

Anyway, I think this is going to be a lot of fun! I'm at least going to leave this up for the weekend while I'm at PAX, and I'll probably let it stay up for a total of at least a full week after that just for maximum exposure. I'm really looking forward to seeing how this turns out!

Hey everyone,

I know this was put up a few months ago and I never wound up doing anything with it, but would you guys still be interested in me giving it a shot? I could probably try something, though it might still take a while.

My drive to write goes up and down in cycles that I can't control. I really wish I did, but sadly I just don't. I posted this poll hoping I was going to be up for writing something based on it right away, but my motivation conveniently dried up the instant a good amount of votes came in. I can't guarantee that the same thing won't happen again, but I figured I'd ask if people were still interested.
