Frank Iero? (My Chemical Romance)

Let me start by saying: I adore My Chemical Romance. They opened for the first real concert I ever went to, which was 10 years ago this summer. (10 years. Wow.) I ended up seeing them three times in two years, and it was amazing. I didn't keep up with them after that, but I always had a soft spot for the "Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge" album.

So I've recently been on a my-cd-collection-circa-2005 kick, and I've been catching up on their newer albums and watching a ton of interviews, concert videos, etc. Through those and The Internet At Large, I've discovered that Frank Iero, one of their guitarists, is often ill. There's footage of him playing on his knees for a whole show because he was too sick to stand and then stumbling offstage before the encore. (March 30, 2007 at Wembley Stadium, if anyone's interested.) Hits all my buttons and then some.

Anyway! The reason I'm posting here and not in Related Fetishes, even though MCR seems to have a lot going for them in terms of hurt/comfort stuff in general, is that I was watching "Life on the Murder Scene," which is a documentary/video diary of MCR from 2006, and I think that Frank may have sneezed(!). I'm going to forego linking to the video I watched because it's, well, copyrighted, but a quick search of the film title will get you there. It was at 29:42, when Gerard (their lead singer) and Frank are sitting on the couch talking about their first album. It may be wishful thinking - there's a good chance it was a cough and not a sneeze - but man was I excited when it happened!

Other things of interest (to me, at least):

- Gerard sniffs/sounds "stuffy" in most videos and interviews I've seen, which is a nice bonus.

- I watched the making-of videos for both "

" and "

," and in both of them Frank talks about how he's been breathing dust/debris/ash during the video shoots, and there's coughing and talking about how he's been wheezing the whole time (those discussions show up at 10:06 in the first video and 12:13 in the second). Also, Gerard and Bob were both injured during the "Famous Last Words" shoot, and that's all shown/discussed as well, starting at around 10:25 for Gerard and around 15:30 for Bob.
