Stuffed animals sneezing? :)

Did anyone ever used to make their favorite stuffed animals and toys sneeze when they played with them as kids? I used to - I once pretended that my 101 Dalmatians plush, Roly, had a bad cold and I bundled him into my bed with a box of tissues and I doted on him and gave him medicine and all that good stuff.

I also loved it when I could get adults to play along with it - I used to have this big stuffed Santa made of this sort of "Puffalump"-like material, and I always thought he had a cold because his nose was a pleasing cherry-red color, so when I played with him and my dad, my dad always made him sneeze. xD And when my aunt gave me a stuffed gopher from the place where she worked, I took him to church with me and I can remember sitting with him next to a vase full of flowers. I sort of made my gopher faceplant into the flowers and said to my aunt, "Look, auntie, Goldy (the gopher's name) is smelling the flowers!" And then my aunt took him and said, "What if he's allergic to them?" And then she made him go "ahhh-choo!" This, mind you, was also the same aunt who gave me a doll of Sneezy from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

Anyone else do this as kids?

Yessss lol one of my earliest memories of my entire life is playing with a stuffed rag type doll toy in the dirt in the yard and pretending the dust was making her sneeze. Repeatedly. I never, ever had anyone else play along though. Even since I was small it has been a very private pleasure.

What do you mean "used to"?

No but I used to do that all the time. I never got anybody else involved in it though. I used to come up with little stories for how everything happened and sometimes I'd make them take care of each other (I have an extensive collection of stuffed animals still oops) and I wrote down all of the scenarios in a little gold notebook I used to have. I don't know what happened to that though

i used to do that too with a Hello Kitty doll i still have. i would make her sneeze and make a bunch of different ways for her to sneeze. it somehow turned me on.

I'm guilty of this! My Beanie Babies were always sick, so I'd constantly have to take care of them.

I did it with my poly pockets. I was a huge fan of pretend games as a kid, and I would always convince one of my friends to be someone who was allergic or sick. I never understood why until I was older, though I must say I'm relieved I wasn't the only one.

My clown always had a bad cold (and since he had a pocket) because the other animals were sneezing from when they hid in his pocket.

Oh yes! Though it was always a very private for me too. I often pretended that my stuffed animals got caught out in the rain by the fault of another stuffed animal, got sick, and had to care for them. That's still one of my favorite scenarios, 20 years later haha.

This was my childhood. I would play barbie with my sister, but as I got older (probably 7-8 yeard old), I would wait till night time when my sister was asleep. When I was younger contagion was all I cared for and I still love it to this day!

Oh yes, I remember doing this!! I don't remember a good deal of my instances, but let's see...

My grandparents have/used to have a big snowman plush that they would refer to as "Frosty the Snowman" (despite the plush not looking anything like the character, haha), and I remember playing out stories every so often where he had a cold for some reason. I also had these plushies of Hamtaro and Bijou from Hamtaro, and I used to like to dress them both in accessories I got from stuffed animals I would receive for selling certain numbers of Girl Scout Cookies when I was still in Girl Scouts. Some of these accessories included ladybug wings/antennae, and I remember once in the summer dressing Bijou up in these and playing with my mom. My mom had decided that it was spring time in whatever game we were playing, and I remember her saying something about allergies and making Bijou sneeze.

Not plush per se, but I definitely also remember having plastic figures of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and playing with them whilst I was in Disney. Preetty sure I did something with Sneezy? The memory is really foggy but I definitely remember having those figurines for years. I also had all these different animal figurines that I would play with all the time (mostly considering of these Barbie bobblehead dogs and four Barbie kittens), and my cousins and I had this game we would play in the summer with them where, at one point, two of the kittens (named Sheegwa and Sagwa after the show "Sagwa" ) would find this tree that had gasoline in it for some reason, and from that, I remember we had them catch a cold? I don't remember the exact thought process on it (hey, I was like...7 xD), but I remember the game very well.

...sometimes I still do, but not in a way that makes any of them suffer. Make believe or not. ^^;

I never had much money, so when I got paid, once every few weeks, I'd save up money to get one once every two months. I however outgrew them when I was 11.

Absolutely! In particular I remember taking care of a stuffed lamb in a toy stroller. And the stuffed animals on my bed, I'd just imagine one had a cold, then they'd all catch it.

I did this with my stuffed bear "Toddler". He was a curly-haired polar bear, with a fabric, circular black nose that I would always wiggle around and poke at. I imagined that he was allergic to the flowers in the living room, and when he smelled them, his nose curled back and he sneezed incessantly. My parents probably thought I was weird, but I was just...fascinated by making Toddler sneeze like that.
