It's always nice in Holy Week to meditate on the pangs of the Messiah. Some years ago I used to read the proper gospel each day in Latin. Of course as a student I used to roam the streets popping in and out of churches to see if any good services were going on, but I haven't the energy nowadays.

Maundy Thursday tomorrow, and Her Maj will be taking her proper role as Our Lord's vicar on earth.
