plcwill2011 Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 How do you feel about "complaining about being sick". I love it if a woman with a cold or flu complain about being sick. I love if she gets specific and describes her symptoms.
Sitruuna Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 I propably wouldn't really enjoy that as much as it possible seeing how I generally like a bit of denial, but... sure, I don't mind it irl.But you know what is great? Someone complaining abput the symptoms alone without specifying they are sick (while it's obvious that they are). Likethis one time when I was still in comprehensive school and MSN messenger existed this one friend of mine (who was older than I, old enough to be mentioned here, lol) started one day complaining to me how he was feeling like crap and very tired (and unable to sleep properly,as he always was) and shivering and had a crap load of things to do. Well, I was a veeery smart kid back then and stated that maybe he was running a fever, to which he replied that sure, as he had been the whole day. This was extra special back then because, as I already said, I was pretty much a kid back then and someone not taking the day off if they were running a fever was a strange and big thing. He had complained about all the other symptoms before he got to the part that implied he had a fever. And he never said he was sick. I don't know, this was a memorable moment, ok. xD
Arty Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Hmmm. I deny it for awhile and then accept it. But i still hide it from family.
squealofapproval Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 I love it when my girlfriend does it. Gosh, mumbling on about her fever the sweet thing...
Paul Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 A girl at school who is perpetually sick always complains of how sick she is after coughing and sneezing on the rest of us. We don't like her.
zneeze Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 I know a lot of us on here enjoy illness "denial," and I think it can be cute too, but I also do really like some complaining. Admitting they're sick is an admission of humanity, and I think that's where some of my sneeze fetish comes from, that shared human experience on such a small level. Plus it's hot so Yeah I see where you're coming from, plcwill!
squealofapproval Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 A girl at school who is perpetually sick always complains of how sick she is after coughing and sneezing on the rest of us. We don't like her. god I would hate that!!
Not_Telling Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Nah, I'm more into the opposite. Hiding sickness. Or denial. Or both! And I don't usually like to complain, either. Which is kind of why I complain here so much, especially when I'm sick. Hey, I need someone to vent to
Kshu Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Complaining about the symptoms is cute. Especially temperature if they gave a fever, if they complain that they're too cold, I can actually do something about it. I guess that's why I like it, I want to help.
Ouro Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 I don't mind a little complaining, and some types of complaining can be really cute, but if it gets even remotely whiny or excessive I start wanting to punch people I don't know, I guess I'm more into the strong silent type... I do have a weakness for sick people being over-dramatic in a way that's obviously not serious though, like "I'm dying" or "I have the plague".
wierdone Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 A little complaining is not bad but it gets old and annoying after a while.
goju4ryu Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 It depends who it is. I do enjoy it some and not a fan with others.
Guest Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 Wasn't sure where to put this.John Rzeznik blames his rambling on cold medicine @ 1:11 (also hoarse voice, throat-clearing, coughing-ish, and saying "I got the pneumonia"; from the beginning) Same thing, closer angle @ 0:57
