Friend in the Hospital

My friend texted me asking if I was at work, I said I was at home, and he said he was at the hospital (I work at the hospital.) I couldn't et anything out of him, I kept asking if he wanted me to come there and I kept asking what happened and all he would say is that he's fucked up and he hit his head.

That was about 5 hours ago, I called the hospital and they said he was in the emergency room and they were gonna do some tests, but couldn't tell me anything else.

I asked what the doctor said, if he wants me to come down there, and if he was being admitted to stay over night, but it says he hasn't read them yet. I know I just need to stay patient, but it's hard when I want to know if he's ok and if I should come there tonight.

Anyone know how long these things usually take?

A lot of times, visits like this don't take overnight. I may be wrong, but from my experiences, I was in for hours for tests and fluids and all that other stuff until I was stable, then let out in the wee hours of the morning, but I wouldn't call that an overnight stay.

I wouldn't worry too much (which I know is hard to say because I've worried by boyfriend a-plenty with texts saying I'm in the hospital, but he can't come to see me and my texts are all loopy and look like this: alsjcaqiuavbclka jwefbpiwasudcjkndnc). I don't know how long he'll actually be there, but if you really want to see him, go ahead. You'll probably feel a lot less worried seeing for yourself he's okay.

He's home now, he says all the tests came back negative, but his head hurts a lot, obviously.

Okay, well I've had my share of concussions so from my experience this is totally normal (like you said, obviously) but he's probably going to feel like crap all night. Again, try not to worry too much, he should be fine~

Hospitals are so unpredicatable but i believe everything will be okay for him. He will be uncomfortable but im glad he's home. Hope he takes it easy.
