littleOthree Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 As a disclaimer, I'd feel much more comfortable posting this in the adult observations section for personal reasons, not for the content of this post, but am not allowed just yet. That being said:===I woke up Saturday morning with the sniffles. No sore throat, no cough, no pain whatsoever. Just a stuffy/runny nose and nothing much else. Now I usually love to sneeze, and it's been a long time since I've been able to record, so I was actually happy when my nose started to tickle.Unfortunately, that starting-to-tickle sensation is like the default mode for this little rhinovirus. It tickles me just enough to be distracting. Every 20 minutes or so it becomes super intense, and I spend a minute with my nose in the air, sniffling and shivery under the full control of these preparations to sneeze it out. Then maybe 9 times out of 10, it just goes away. I end up with tears in my eyes--which is a first for me--and a fresh bout of my nose running. Meh. Then I blow it and return to this marginal tickling sensation and these endless sniffles. When it finally does make me sneeze, it comes in one or two terrific explosions at a time, and bless me, it's extremely satisfying, but so short-lived after all that work. It's also unusual for me, because I typically sneeze in multiples whether I'm well or not. So, the point of all this is that I'm trying to record some for my youtube account, but this tickle is not being very accommodating. It comes on very suddenly, and I got tired of trying to dash to the computer with my nose a-quiver, so I keep a recorder on me as I go about my day. Even then, I've reached for it so many times only to be disappointed. When I upload the few I can capture, it will be a short patchwork of sneezes with all sorts of different background noises, so I apologize in advance. Thanks for reading, everyone. Wish me more sneezes.
Morningsmith Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 My that sounds tantalizing. Bless you, and fingers crossed for more!
