RediChalyn Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Okay not sure how many of ya'll are crafty, but I'm going to try something new. A couple years ago I found an idea online to make a cool looking mirror using the sheds from a sycamore tree. My mom and I found several sheds a few days ago at the river, and now I'm going to flatten them. Here's the predicament I find myself in: should I soak them in water (if so, should I mix anything into the water to help) or use a steam technique (if so, how long should I steam them)? I also saw one idea for birch bark involving rigging the sheds to have water flowing over them, but sycamore bark is very different from birch bark also I don't know how to set that up. If anyone has any ideas or maybe a link, it would be very much appreciated!
