AsylumFlower Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 So, for background, I live in a little, rural area so "quaint" (what people call it when they're being kind) that at the grocery store, your bagboy actually takes your cart out and loads your groceries into your car for you. Yes, there's that little traffic. )Anyway, one of the bagboys is really cute. He's tall (over 6 ft); skinny; with long, wavy brown hair, wide smile, and a longish nose. He was wearing a navy blue shirt, and has a southern accent, to complete the picture. He seemed fine in the store, and when he wheeled the cart outside, he commented that it was a nice day. (Summer, hot but not too hot, lots of.... green... trees and plants.... around...) I agreed, and showed him where my car was.As we were still talking about the weather and walking to it, he suddenly paused, and stifled a quick, very small, slightly high-pitched sneeze into his fist. He immediately acted like nothing had happened, and we arrived at my car. Then it turned out I didn't have my key where it should have been (this car auto-locks and I'm not used to it, I've never locked anything in my life) so he stood by while I found it. While I was looking for it, he let out a second stifle! It was a tiny bit louder and more powerful sounding than the last one, sort of "hhnghsHT!"I found the key, and we both started loading the groceries in. While we were doing that, he sneezed two more times, both stifled, spaced about a minute or so apart. They sounded a degree more forceful each time, and the last one came out only half-stifled, "hnhgnSCH'uh!" It bent him over at the waist, and he caught it in his arm. When he straightened up, his nose was noticeably pink, and his cheeks were a bit pink too. He looked embarrassed.I said "bless you!" (inwardly dying) and tipped him for his work. He said "thank you," sounding slightly congested, and sniffled a little, looking even more embarrassed. He took the cart back into the store, watched him go from inside my car, but he didn't sneeze any more that I saw.
