Ketch_22 Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 So a little self-obs for yaI have never been much a sneezer at all, which is kinda disappointing because of the whole fetish. lol But I seriously usally only sneeze twice a week, maybe more if I'm lucky. Well, recently in the past month or two I've been sneezing a whole lot more than I ever have in my life. My nose gets really runny and itchy and then I sneeze like four or five times in a row, which is a lot for me! And it happens more than once a day...Often right when I wake up it happens and then sometimes later in the day too. My nose is runny almost all the time now and I'm not complaining about the sneezing, but it's just weird since it's so not me! Anyone else had this experience? Suddenly developing allergy-like symptoms out of nowhere?
RipleyToo Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 I think it's possible, though I don't really know. Heh maybe try certain things out and seeing if they make you sneeze at all so you can find exactly what you could be allergic too
cracked skull Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 Definitely possible. I developed allergies out of the blue. If you have allergies in your family, your chances of developing them are greater, regardless of age. My grandma is in her 90's and has just now become allergic to a particular kind of melon. Really random

AnteatersOnParade Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 Yeah, I think you reach a sort of biological checkpoint at the late teens early twenties and have a chance of developing hereditary things at that age like allergies, final growth jumps, development of mental conditions, etc..
NoV Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 Developing allergies at random points in your life is definitely a thing. Often people will develop allergies to pollen when they travel abroad for the first time and get exposed to types of pollen they have not encountered elsewhere. This happened to a friend of mine. She had no allergies at all, went to Italy to work for a couple of months, came back and found she had bad hay fever and was now allergic to all sorts of pollen in the UK. The doctor told her it was due to exposure to pollen which had 'activated' her hay fever or histamine response.
cracked skull Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 This article explains it pretty well http://www.everydayhealth.com/allergies/understanding-adult-onset-allergies.aspx
