BananaTree Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 So my ma lit a candle which I love until 20 minutes later when the left side of my nose erupted into flames. I had three false starts, which I never do, flailing with the collar of my shirt to cover my mouth and my necklace got in the way so I chose the crook of my elbow and finally let loose a large, loud expulsion "ECCCCH CHEEEOOOOO" high pitched at the end.My mom says. "Oh there goes that candle. Making ya sneeze."I'm like yeah sure whatever. I hate sneezy convo with family members. I walk away sniffling and she asks "Is that candle making your nose sneeze?"NO MOM.
Joal 555 Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 I walk away sniffling and she asks "Is that candle making your nose sneeze?"It must have been getting on your wick...... Comments like that from family members are just no, no, NO!(PS - the topic title also reminded me of the expression "it was like an explosion in a candle factory" )
Aranea Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 For a second I thought the flame was literally burning your nose and I was super, super worried about you! I'm glad you didn't literally catch on fire!

decrescendo Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 Ooh, what scent is the candle? Does it always bother you that much?
BananaTree Posted August 14, 2015 Author Posted August 14, 2015 Ooh, what scent is the candle? Does it always bother you that much?Patchouli. And yes...it kinda does lol not all scented candles do though. I actually love patchouli
NoV Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 I used to know someone who could not go into various shops that sold these type of candles because she said it would 'set her off sneezing'. Sneezing conversations with your parents are the absolute worst!
BananaTree Posted August 16, 2015 Author Posted August 16, 2015 She lit the candle again. I let out a small "Het-chuu!"I love patchouli
