peach2218 Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 As a member of both communities I've always wanted to see a correlation between the forum and ASMR! Thanks for these.
Klingon Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 if I may ask what's asmr? I've never heard of that before.
peach2218 Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 It stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response. Basically, it's a community of people that sometimes feel tingles in their head, neck, spine, etc in response to certain stimuli like a soft/whispering voice or other relaxing noises. Other people who don't experience ASMR just like the YouTube videos because they sometimes help them sleep.
cprlaw08 Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 not the word meridian again! that seems to have a long history of popping up on videos here
sneezysir Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 I found a stifled sneeze at around 13:01 in this video.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NF4pMoOOpkc
sneezysir Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 And here is a regular sneeze at 9:02.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BSLQUcRs2s8
atchoum Posted September 10, 2015 Posted September 10, 2015 There are male ASMR sneezes too. Here's one at about 4.10 that's commented on :https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VHwkP8JoVOI(I'm just wondering... this thread is tagged 'female' and I can't see how to add a tag.)

A radio show host had mentioned it a while ago; he enjoyed listening to people typing on a keyboard. Would something like the repetitive "clopping" of horse hoofs on various surfaces fit with this? That sound almost puts me in a hypnotic state sometimes. I love it.
