Fit on the subway (self, M)

For the past few years my summer allergies have been on the mild side, so I'm kind of enjoying the uptick they seem to be taking at the moment. This started about a week ago, with what felt like random sneeziness quickly transforming into the familiar constant tickle and itch. I've had several modest fits, from five to eight sneezes or so, over the course of the week. Here's a particularly enjoyable one (I thought) from earlier today.

I'm on the subway, going in to work. It's late morning, I'm thinking about a task and drinking a coffee. The tickle becomes noticeable, and my mind switches over to it. I'm gonna start sneezing, what fun. I wonder how many. The tickle builds, I raise my coffee napkin to my nose and sneeze a medium AeSCHew! A very quick beat passes, I keep the napkin in place, and sneeze some more. Aeshewww! Esheeh! Haeshehh! Then the sneezes pause. The older latino woman next to me, thinking I'm done, says a very quite "bless you." I say thanks, equally quietly, and blow my nose, thinking for sneezes is enough fun for me and remembering that I'm in public. But the tickle won't be blown out. There's another itchy pause and then EhHeshooo! Atschooo!... Haetshoo! Hedschoo! Heaschooo! My neighbor says blesses me again with a soft laugh. I thank her again, get a tissue out of my pocket to replace the poor napkin, and blow my nose extensively. That, finally, is it. Hope you don't mind me sharing

Question: When you start sneezing in public, do you keep in mind that there could be other sneeze fetishists in the area? Do you play them up at all? (Because I do... I don't have allergies and don't actually sneeze that often, so I'm always glad when I have to sneeze and I'm out in public!)

Hmm. I don't think I actually sneeze differently, if only because I don't have much control over how my sneezes come out once they're coming. But there is definitely something I enjoy about sneezing in public, sometimes. It can also be mortifying. I think a lot of us with this fetish feel some kind of relationship between the sexy and the embarrassing.
