Cold Still Going Strong (self obs, f & others)

I have been down with this cold for like 6 days, but today is 3rd day I have felt really ill with it. Feel thrilled I had today off and tomorrow as well. Will hopefully be over the worst of it.

When I picked up cold medicine when it was just a sore throat, I under estimated the length and severity of this cold so I had to venture out in search of more meds.

For me, personally, I don't especially like Wal Mart, but it is closer to me than Target and wanted to get in & out as fast as possible.

My nose isn't as runny as it has been, but I drove with a tissue in one hand on the way there and sneezed twice as I was on the road so glad I had them. Once I got there and parked the car I sat there for a bit blowing my sore, red nose.

If I hadn't walked into Wal Mart with a cold, I possibly would have left and had one a few days later. The cold medicine had three others in various states of illness seeking relief as well. There was a good amount of sniffling, blowing into tissues and a couple sneezes.

One poor young lady seemed to be where I was two days ago. She had a very used tissue in her right hand and was sniffing every few seconds and wiping her nose. I picked up my box of Alka Seltzer cold meds and heard her sniff yet again. I turned her way to head toward the front of the store in time to see her raise that tissue to her face and sneeze ICHOOOOOO... HISCHOOOOO into it. She turned to her friend (or whoever was with her) and said, "You gabe be the worst code..." Was out of ear shot to hear anything else.

My nose may be stuffy and I'm congested, but one scent got my nose going...cinnamon! Because of fall and Halloween they had all this cinnamon scent coming from what seemed like a few aisles. I caught wiff of it and had just enough time to grab a tissue from my pocket before letting out a big, wet HASCHOOOOOO! I blew my nose (at least it cleared it) and now I could really smell it. I could feel my nose burning. I turned into an empty aisle and sneezed two more wet HUSCHOOOOO! HUSCHOOOO!

My nose was now wanting to free itself of all the gunk within. I breezed through the self check out, holding a tissue as I walked out the door...dying to blow. Got to the car and sneezed from having to sniffle on the way there. Got in the car and took six tissues to clear my nose.

Got home, took my meds then napped a few hours. The cold medicine is starting to wear off because I am getting really stuffed again.

Awwwwwwww:( feel loads better. Tea, blankets, any pets if you have em, funny tv will help.
