\Disappearing posts

Like you know when you have written a really long post and it suddenly disappears and you just give the whole thing up, but then days later it reappears? 

Does anyone know how long it disappears for?  I am guessing a multiple of 24 hours, but who knows? 

I am tempted to ask if one can stop it disappearing or get it back immediately, but to quote Wilde, I don't believe in miracles; I have seen too many......
