Sneezing into... something new

Hey guys, posting another obs in the forum tonight. Earlier today, around 12:02PM CST, I was riding the train to a northern neighborhood in my city to get some Ethiopian cuisine (A/N: very delicious!!!!) and I saw something extremely peculiar.

The seating in the car was longitudinal (A/N: only 2 train lines in my city are like this, the rest are standard rows, which I prefer) and across the aisle from me and several seats to my left, a handsome young man (early to mid 20s) sneezed into a knit cap and proceeded to blow his nose into it. The cap was green, black, and yellow, and the theme was for some sort of sports team, but it wasn't any of the local teams so I don't remember which one it was. After he blew his nose into it, he put the freaking hat right back on his head! I was shocked! I couldn't believe what I was seeing! 

Did his thick dark hair absorb all of the you-know-what? Oh my god, imagine if he had been bald. Oh man! Oh my god. I know this sounds kind of fake but I could never make something like this up. I swear I saw it with my own eyes today. I wouldn't lie to you guys about something like this.

Omg, it never ceases to amaze me what people will do in public. Like, are they just so self assured that they literally don't care what people think of them, or do they think that this is socially acceptable??

I'm not sure how to respond to this. That's so unhygienic! It probably wouldn't bother me so much if he didn't put it back on afterwards..
