She's from a tv series called Mighty Magiswords, where she and her brother are Warriors (that's literally their last name) for Hire. In order to complete various quests and missions, they carry an arsenal of Magiswords, a variety of weapons with unique and sometimes ridiculous abilities. This seemed like a perfectly possible scenario.
