Hey I'm Alicia, I've been lurking for a while.

I hate posting intros but I remember being a kid, maybe 4 years old and being fascinated when someone blew their nose, this extended to sneezing. It didn't become a fetish till I was old enough to think in that way but I was always interested in how, why, the sounds, the visuals, the process.

I thought I was the only person who felt like this, I thought it was dirty and bad, I thought I was cruel to enjoy illness and crying. This made me scared and embarrassed about doing the things I secretly loved. I'm not very good at sneezing, my natural instinct is to stop it.

Then I found this site and I realised it wasn't just me. Not only that, it's a site full of people enjoying the things I've always been ashamed of enjoying.

I'm glad to be here :)

Welcome to the forum, Alicia!

It's great having new members, and we are sure you will enjoy being part of our community!

To enhance your time here, please find a few minutes to look at read before posting — it contains lots of information and frequently asked questions that will help you understand how things work on the forum. You will also be able to see which areas you can currently access and which will become available to you when you are "fully validated" a bit further down the line. In that regard, the validation system is explained in how do I get validated?

If you have any questions that are not covered in the links, feel free to ask the staff using the "contact us" feature at the top of the page.

In the meantime, we look forward to seeing you around, and enjoy the forum!

thank you, I hope I won't break the rules, it's always confusing joining somewhere new. I'm trying to get involved, but it feels a bit new and different.

Don't worry, we were all new once, so we know how you feel. We also understand that we can all make genuine mistakes (especially newer members and even in some cases, people who have later become staff members!), so should that happen (and I'm sure it won't!) don't let it stop you participating in the topics that you are interested in.

Above all, enjoy the forum!

Hey Alicia, welcome to the forum. What you wrote above sounds so familiar - I was always fascinated by how people blew their nose at that age as well. Perhaps that, along with a touch of hayfever, were why I learnt to blow my own nose really well at that age too...

I'm glad you've found somewhere where you can feel comfortable enjoying your interests, hope you have fun here!

hey Rick, thank you for posting here and for replying to my noseblowing post.

I'm so glad you can identify with what I wrote, I felt like such a freak for years! Even coming on here I feel a bit like a freak, you're almost the only non-staff person to talk to me, I thought I was doing something horribly wrong! I probably still am but thank you for replying.

Relax, you're doing nothing wrong at all! You can never do anything horribly wrong in any community so long as you're always kind - and you seem like a kind person. :)

Hi Alicia - I'm new too (though have looked at this forum for some time) - similarly got fascinated with everything to do with nose-blowing from a very young age - the sound, the position, whether one hand or two, whether handkerchiefs or tissues, whether the person was self-conscious or not, how they moved the rest of their body as they did it, and so on. Hope to exchange thoughts with you at some point!
