Lapidot sickfics

Here is some Lapidot fanfiction that i have been working on for quite a bit. I have tried posting it on wattpad, but i got negative reviews because the readers refused to understand my strange liking for sickfics and sneezing. All characters belong to steven universe, and the headcanon that peridot gets sick often is owned by Kalla. Hopefully she lets me borrow this headcanon. The ending is kinda rushed, and it gets a little gross near the end, but... I tried. What's that? You're not supposed to put the sneezes in both bold and italics? Oh well! Its kinda short, but there's more coming. (Hint Hint: Next time Lapis is the sufferer)  Here's the fic now.

It was only the beginning of the day.... and Peridot was already feeling awful. Her nose had been threatening her with a sneeze, and it had been taunting her all day. Sometimes her breath would hitch while she was talking, and other times, she had to stop in the middle of a sentence completely. She wished it would just come out already! Her small, green body had been completely drained of energy, and she was now laying on the floor of the barn. She had been sniffling for over an hour due to runny nose. Lapis, having been right outside for most of the time, had heard this. She started to worry about the smaller green gem.

 

"Peridot? Are you okay?" Lapis peeked her head through the door. Normally it was Peridot checking on Lapis, but today was something different. Peridot lifted her head slightly, enough to see Lapis, but not too much so she would strain herself. "Yeah." Lapis approached the tiny technician. "You sure?" Lapis stood over her, staring at her pale face. "Y-Yeah... I just... hhh..." Peridot stopped, as the sensation to sneeze overwhelmed her. Yeah, she wanted it to come out all day, but not now! Not when Lapis was staring right down at her face! Maybe it wouldn't come out, for the need to sneeze has gotten pretty strong earlier although nothing came out, but no.... this time, it as stronger than ever... She flinched, as she was about to... "HAXSCHOU!!!" Peridot gave a wet sniffle and wiped all remaining mess off her face. It felt good now that it was finally out, but.... oh no.... Peridot flushed with embarrassment when she noticed that she had nearly sprayed Lapis in the face.

 

"Pfft..." Lapis chuckled, "I'm not Pearl, but i know thats not the correct way to cover a sneeze." Peridot blushed slightly and sniffled again. "Sorry." She didn't have the energy to cover, nor did she have the energy to explain herself. Peridot firmly pushed her hand against her face to stifle another sneeze. Only a small squeak could be heard. "Well, your obviously sick." Lapis concluded, "We probably have a thermometer somewhere in all this junk." Lapis rummaged through piles of garbage. "Lapis...." Peridot croaked, "I'm sorry..."

 

"What?" Lapis turned and stared at Peridot with an expression of sympathy. "It's not your fault your sick, Peridot!" Peridot looked down. "What i meant was... ugh, im always sick! I'm defective, I-" Peridot paused and jerked her eyes closed as she prepared for another sneeze. "HKKSHHH!! EKSHUUU!!" They were wet, but she managed to cover without infecting Lapis this time. "That's not your fault either! Well, you're not defective, but if you were it wouldn't be your fault!" Lapis blushed, realizing how cheesy she was, blurting out all that sentimental garbage. "Lapis.... you dont have to do this... you dont have to waste your time on me..." Peridot stared at Lapis. Although she did appreciate Lapis' care for her, she didn't want to waste her time, and she especially did not want to get Lapis sick. "Peridot..." Lapis sighed, looking down, "I want to take care of you." Peridot replied with a huge dorky smile. And then suddenly, "KSHUUU! HEXSCHUUU! HACHUU!" Peridot had just barely managed to cover with her hands over her face. She attempted to move her hands, but was then disgusted to feel the slimy sticky substance that covered her face. "Uugh..." Lapis chuckled, "Need a tissue?" Peridot nodded in reply as Lapis found a box of tissues and placed it near Peridot.

 

"Peridot..." Lapis asked after Peridot finished wiping the mess of her face. "Hmm?" Peridot responded. "Next time you're sick, tell me." Lapis stared at her as if "No" was the wrong answer. Peridot looked up and smiled. "I promise."

You do what you did when you wrote this reply - just write or paste the story in the text box and post! As far as updating the title to reflect new content, you'll have to contact a mod and ask to be added to the writer's group. I hope that helps!

Hello everyone! I've been waiting to post the next fic in here for awhile. I was going to wait until i got some replies, but i didn't really get many and i was getting kinda impatient. I was going to post it early, but I'm going to need help on how to spell the sneezes.

I'm going to have this thing where lapis' sneezes are sharp, dry, and harsh and you cant tell if its a sneeze or a cough. I'm not sure how to spell things. If this is not your preference, then you may skip the next fic, but this is what i want to do, because i thought it would be cute to have peridot saying bless you like it was a question. If anyone could help me with the spelling of these, then i will quickly start my next fic! All replies are appreciated!

Okay, i was going to wait until i got a bunch of replies, but i didn't get as many as expected and im getting a little impatient so im going to post the next one as promised. Yes, there is a bit of mess.This one happens after the previous fic, and the sneezes are not really wet so if thats not your preference, then im sorry. Here we go.

Lapis wasn't really doing anything at the moment. She sat on the truck she and Peri had stuck in the roof with a dazed expression. She wasn't really paying attention to anything at the moment, so she was struck with surprise when Peridot snuck up on her. "Hi, Lapis!" Lapis stiffened as Peridot screamed from behind her. "Ahhh...Hey, Peridot!" She shuddered at the tiny green gem climbing up her back. "Mhmm, Lapis... You're head is so warm!" Lapis blushed slightly at the comment coming from Peridot, who was now on her shoulders, using her head as some sort of table. Lapis shook her off. Out of all the times Peridot had to be filled with energy... "Soo, what're you doing up here on the roof?" Lapis adored Peridot sometimes... but sometimes she would be a bit of a bother. "I'm just... hanging.. ehh" The sensation to sneeze came out of nowhere, and she ducked her head to cover. "ESHHHHH! EKKHHH!" 

Lapis' sneezes were dry and harsh, and Peridot had trouble telling if they were sneezes or coughs. "....Uhm..... Bless you....?" Lapis sniffed. "Thanks." Peridot sighed in relief. She was expecting Lapis to stare at her with that one expression that blatantly said Peridot said something stupid. "That.... didn't sound too good... Do you think you, uhh... caught my cold or something?" At this point, Peridot was afraid Lapis would throw her off the roof, but she got something else in response. "I... N-no, I don't..." Lapis turned away from Peridot. Peridot scooted close to her and hugged her arm. "You.. You shouldn't be afraid to.. Y'know, tell me. There's nothing to be ashamed of." Lapis stiffened. She was not a touchy-feely type, so she wasn't sure how to respond, but luckily she didn't have to. "HKKKHH!" Once again, Lapis' sneezes sounded like a cough, and Peridot once again blessed her with uncertainty. "Uh, B-bless you." Lapis wiped the brim of her nose with her arm. "Ehh... Maybe I am coming down with something..."

Lapis finally came clean. She saw no use in trying to hide it, and forgot why she denied it in the first place. "Well then Lapis, I'll just have to take care of you!" Oh yeah. Thats why. "You really don't have to.. EKHHHHSH! HEKKKHSH!" Lapis' nose started to run mercilessly. She tried to sniffle up the mess but it just kept coming, so she tried to wipe the mess off, but then her throat started to burn and she had a coughing fit. She fell onto the floor and looked back up at Peridot. Peridot looked at her with concern and innocence, and seeing her own helpless state, she knew she couldn't say no to Peridot's offer. "Fiiine." Peridot's face lit up with a huge grin. "Yay!" Lapis scoffed. God Peridot, You're such a dork. Lapis thought, but wouldn't dare to say.

Peridot climbed down from the truck, and fell straight on her face. she got up, brushing the dirt off her body. "I'm gonna be a good barnmate!" Peridot thought out loud. She found a blanket from the piles of junk that covered her barn and went back to where the truck was. "Unh! Nyuh!" Peridot grunted, as she jumped to reach the truck on the roof. She groaned, and left to find a garbage lid. "Ok, i'm coming up!" Peridot yelled from the ground. She shakily stood on the garbage lid and grunted as she lifted it with her on top of it with her ferrokinesis. "Pfft, you could've just asked me to fly you up here." Lapis remarked. Peridot shook her head. "Lapis, You're sick and i don't want you wasting your energy." Peridot wrapped the blanket around Lapis. She coughed loudly into her arm, which Peridot was also torn between whether it was a sneeze or cough.

"Uhhmmmm... Blessss youuuuu?" Lapis stared at her with a blank expression. Her eyes were wide and she wasn't smiling, nor frowning. "I... didn't sneeze..." Peridot squeaked and covered her head with one of her arms. "Ahh! I'm sorry!" Lapis was surprised at how scared Peridot was acting. She had thought that Peridot had trusted her.. but then she realized it wasn't on Peridot, but it was on her for being so menacing. "Hey, hey Peridot... chill... it's fine..." Lapis didn't blame her. It did sound a little like a sneeze, based on what her sneezes sound like. Peridot lifted her arm and looked up at Lapis with an innocent face.

"Okay lapis... I'm going to make sure you feel better!" Lapis laughed. Peridot frowned at Lapis not taking her seriously. "It's really okay... It's just a cold, I'll be fiiii- EKKCGT!" Peridot bounced and handed her a tissue. "Bless you!" Peridot was now more enthusiastic with her bless you, because she was now able to tell the difference between her sneeze and cough. "Thanks.." Lapis said coldly, as she resentfully accepted the thin sheet of paper. "You don't have to be scared, Lapis." 

"Uhm... I know..." Lapis stared at the small green gem. Peridot gave her the same dorky grin as she did when Lapis let her take care of her. Lapis sighed and slapped her palm to her face. Lapis knew Peridot could be a nerdy dork, but she was her nerdy dork, and Lapis took more pride in ownership of her nerdy dork than anything else. Lapis looked down, and opened her mouth to speak, but decided to close it again. Peridot accepted this notion as a beckon. "Yes?" Peridot looked at her with an innocent smile on her face. "I just wanted to say..." She paused and stared straight into Peridot's eyes. "Wow, thanks."
