Alicia2 Posted January 22, 2017 Posted January 22, 2017 I don't know if I'll keep this up as I've never managed to keep up any kind of diary but here goes. It'll be mostly nose-blowing. I can't promise sneezing as I'm not very good at it but I hope it will happen. Regularly and repeatedly. I woke up with a sort of wet feeling inside my nostrils and a slight feeling of congestion. I thought about blowing my nose straight away but I thought I'd wait and see if something more interesting happened. Going on experience I was probably too congested for much to come out anyway, better to defer my pleasure in the hope of increasing it. I waited a while without success and ended up forgetting about it but just after I started eating my breakfast, I felt something trickling down my right nostril. At any other time this would have been great news but I had just sat down so I sniffed a few times, trying to ignore it, but the trickle became more pronounced and soon my hunger was overlaid by other desires. I went to get my tissue and opened it out as I debated my options. I would normally start with a tiny blow, after years of being frightened and embarrassed I do have a tendency to start small. But than I thought why start small? I'm all alone and I'm a member of a sneeze fetish community, why not go for it? I pinched my nose slightly with the tissue, took a deep breath and blew firmly but without trying to push it. I didn't manage a honk (I spent maybe ten years trying to work out how to produce that particular sound, though it's not something I often like to go for I always wanted it in my repertoire) but it was strong and loud. A rushing, gushing sort of sound, probably close to three seconds in length which is long for me. I folded the tissue over the used part and blew my nose again. I managed a tiny burble but it was mostly air. I wiped my nose and decided that was it for now. This evening I felt sniffly and decided to go for it again. There wasn't much to blow out but I managed to get quite a firm sound, not what I'd call a honk as there was no note but it was one long continuous sound, not the ruffly sound I usually get. It would be nice to get one more before I go to bed but whatever happens I'm really happy with the first one. I need to look seriously into inducing, it scares me a bit but it can't be dangerous if you do it right. It might actually be really good for me if it can get my sneeze reflex overriding my stifle reflex again.
Alicia2 Posted January 24, 2017 Author Posted January 24, 2017 Last night I felt a tickle in my nose like I was about to sneeze. I was so excited, I was determined not to hold the sneeze back. The sneeze started off as a loud gasp, very promising and then it stopped. I tried breathing out a little way, nothing. I tried breathing in a bit more, nothing. I held my breath and waited, NO SNEEZE Eventually the tickle went away. Why can't I sneeze? I did get a bit of a runny nose later and managed a nice long wet blow, quite loud but not as good as yesterday. I made a big wet patch on the tissue. I tried for another one after that but I only got the tiniest burble. Today started similar to yesterday. After maybe half an hour of slight congestion, I felt a trickle coming through my left nostril when I was making breakfast, sniffed a few times but my sniffing is about as productive as my sneezing so I went to get a tissue. I remembered how satisfying my loud blows were yesterday and decided to go for it again. It was quite a deep, harsh sound, not as wet as I expected. I sniffed and thought it was worth trying again, nothing came out but air but my ears popped with the effort. I went to the shop before dinner, it was cold out and when I got back, my right nostril was starting to run, I blew my nose with a wet, slightly gurgly sound but as it was quite urgent I didn't stop to think about making it loud. I tried to go louder with two further attempts but nothing much happened. Not bad but I really want to sneeze, it seems like everyone is doing it except me.
Owen Posted January 24, 2017 Posted January 24, 2017 This is a really good idea I hope you keep it up! ^^
Alicia2 Posted January 24, 2017 Author Posted January 24, 2017 3 hours ago, The100thName said: This is a really good idea I hope you keep it up! ^^ thank you, I'm glad you like it And guess what, I just sneezed! I had to write about it now instead of waiting till tonight. I got quite a runny nose from putting my contact lenses in, it was the right eye so just the right nostril. I managed three big, wet blows, the tissue was soaked by three big circles of wetness. The first blow wasn't a honk, but it seemed quite high in pitch and was quite a harsh, grating sound despite everything that came out. I wiped my nose quite hard after that, back and forth several times and the tissue kept slipping because my nose was slimy and wet. The second blow was quite burbly. Although it was one continuous blow, it gave the impression of being lots of very short, sharp blows, a bit like a machine gun. The third was a more normal burble ad a bit quieter. I thought about a fourth, but I decided it wasn't necessary and it would probably be disappointing. And the sneeze! It wasn't much of a sneeze. It actually sounded like a single cough so maybe it was a mixture of both. One quick breath in, then a cough. But it was definitely a sneeze because my nose burned for some time afterwards. I was very disgusting and didn't cover properly as I was worried touching my nose might stop the sneeze and it was my first of the year so I really wanted it to work (I would obviously have covered in front of other people or if I thought it was a germy sneeze). I didn't need to blow my nose after sneezing but still, it was a proper sneeze! I have no idea what caused it. There was no dust as far as I'm aware, I don't think I have a cold as my runny nose triggers have been fairly normal, I have no known allergies and hadn't been spraying any perfume or hairspray which don't make me sneeze anyway. But I don't care too much about why, I sneezed!
luvsfemalehonks Posted January 24, 2017 Posted January 24, 2017 Wow im loving this idea of a diary! Hope it keeps up
Alicia2 Posted January 26, 2017 Author Posted January 26, 2017 Thank you luvsfemalehonks, glad you like the idea! I sneezed again today! I was so happy. Last night was pretty dull, yawning made my nose run but when I blew my nose I just got a muffled huffy sort of sound. This morning was better, my contact lenses hurt, I only got a runny right nostril, left remained clear but from the right one I got a lovely bubbly sound, 2nd time was weaker but still a few bubbles, 3rd time was quite dry and just airy. The sneeze came when I was plucking my eyebrows, I really liked it and I actually managed two different sounds this time. The inhaling part was actually audible with a slight gasping effect, the second part was just a cough-sound like before but two sounds is still an improvement on one, maybe next time will be better still. I didn't need to blow my nose afterwards but (sorry if this is tmi) I did end up with phlegm in my mouth so I had to spit it out. I went out and came back with a sniffly nose from the cold air, I blew my nose when I got home, I expected it to be wet but it was quite harsh and dry-sounding. Nothing since then but I sneezed so I'm happy! I have now sneezed twice this year.
Shamaël Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 Yes, this is a great idea!!! And your obs are very precise. Thank you!
Alicia2 Posted January 26, 2017 Author Posted January 26, 2017 Thank you for all the replies Eight of Spades I will try to keep it up but unless I take up inducing (which scares me a little bit) it does depend on my nose which clearly has a mind of its own! honkmaster you're very welcome Aliena H. thank you, I'm trying really hard to be precise so you can enjoy it as much as possible, I'm happy it's working. Today started off quite disappointingly. Despite having a very painful contact lens, my nose didn't run at all. Then when I was doing my make-up, I felt a tickle in my nose and got quite excited. I tried to make myself sneeze. There were a couple of small inhales and I tried to get it out but nothing happened. I was very disappointed after managing to sneeze two days in a row. But things got a lot better later on. I was making dinner (so really not the best time) when I felt like I was going to sneeze again. I had my hands full of food so I made the quick decision to sneeze over my shoulder. And I sneezed not once but twice! My first double of the year, I feel quite proud They weren't the most brilliant sneezes but they felt pretty good. Actually it was more like one and a half than two but I'm desperate! The first one had quite an audible, gasping inhale, followed by a very quick sneeze. It was about the length of a cough but there was definitely a bit of 'choo' about it and my head kind of jerked forward as I did it (if forward is the right word when I'm sneezing over my shoulder). There was no inhale for the second sneeze but I could feel a sort of pressure in my nose and I knew what was coming. The second one sounded exactly like a cough but again I did the little head-jerky thing. It was quite a dry sneeze, not even the smallest sniffle but as I was sneezing over my shoulder I was quite glad about that. This evening there have been no more sneezes my throat feels a bit sore. I wonder...
Eights of Spades Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 totally get it on the inducing. haven't ever done it myself either. maybe you'll find it unlocks your sneeziness!
count tiszula Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 What a brilliant idea, wonderfully executed ! All this lovely messy blowing; what a treat! But we must introduce you to the wonder of inducing. As you know there is a pinned topic about it, by Skada or someone, which is actually very good. But for you, whose nostrils are still dare I say virginal, I don't think powders or solid inducing irons are the best place to start; Go with the rolled up Tissue, as they call it, or perhaps something reasonably soft like the Q-tip. As a beginner, you can start with just a gentle tickle of the interior nostril, and of course the other one. You may find that in inevitable sneeziness immediately overtakes your quivering nose; or you may have to explore each nostril for ages to experience all the various tickles before the sneezy spot is revealed. But it will be in the end, and meanwhile, you can tell us your adventures . Good luck!
MysteryGirl Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 Yes, I love your observations about yourself and your sneezing, but as a quite experienced inducer, I'll tell you that it's an amazing thing to be doing occasionally. I agree with count tiszula, especially if you have a stuck sneeze. Sometimes you just feel it there, really bugging you, and you know how amazing it would feel to have it come out. It's relieving to gently tickle your nose and then find a fit of sneezes hiding It's really satisfying and can clear your nose! Let us know if you try it!
Alicia2 Posted February 2, 2017 Author Posted February 2, 2017 Thank you for the inducing advice Eight of Spades, count tiszula and MysteryGirl, inducing does sound like fun I'm sorry I've neglected this, I hope I can remember every day I've missed. I might have got some the wrong way round. Jan 27- rubbish. Not a sneeze or a sniffle. Jan 28- itchy contact lenses resulted in a slight runny nose but I just got a huffy airy noise when I tried to blow it, even though I had to keep dabbing it. Jan 29- finally, some sneezing! The first one got stuck. I hadn't done it for a few days so I couldn't remember what I did last time to help it come out. It tickled for a while, I tried breathing in, I tried breathing out, nothing. The tickle went away. But then another one arrived. I tried to push it out and it came but again it came out like a hard cough and I ended up with phlegm in my mouth, gross. I spat it out. My nostrils had a burning sensation, it hurt. It took a while to go away. I didn't know if I should feel glad I'd managed to sneeze or disappointed I'd wasted it. Jan 30- no sneezes but my nose got a bit runny, I don't know why. I sniffed for a while and it didn't sound promising but I'm useless at sniffing so I went to get a tissue. I decided to go one nostril at a time, convinced I'd have to blow quite hard to get anything out at all. I was wrong, it came out in a massive wet splurge, not bubbling exactly because it all came out at once, it made a hole in the tissue. I did the other nostril a bit more gently and got a similar effect, a smaller splurge and a bit quieter but more suited to the strength of the tissue. I blew my nose again with both nostrils and got a low, firm, continuous sound. Jan 31- I got a contact lens induced runny nose again, contact lenses are so brilliant, I will never wear glasses again. I got a tissue and blew my nose. It started as a sort of rustly sound at a medium sort of pitch but it very quickly rose to a squeak. I tried again, hoping for the same effect but I just got air. I think this was the day I decided to stare at one of the lights in the hope of inducing a sneeze. My lights are very bright and uncovered (unlike my sneezes) but although I stared for a couple of minutes I didn't feel the slightest tickle. Feb 1- finally, a sneeze day! I got a runny nose at various points throughout the day, contact lenses again, hot tea, hot dinner but nose blowing was unproductive, I just got a little huffy sound. Scrubbing my nose hard with the tissue worked much better although it wasn't nearly as much fun. The first sneeze happened some time in the middle of the day, I got the inhaling bit right, a nice quick gasp, not loud but audible but it came out as a cough again, cue more spiting and washing my mouth out. The second sneeze came shortly before I came to update. I could feel it coming. I inhaled and it stuck and I tried to think what to do and decided to try a pre-sneeze face, I was wondering if the positioning of the face helps the mechanics of the sneeze in any way and it worked! It was halfway between a cough sneeze and what I would call a proper sneeze, a little cough but with a definite bit of ooo! on the end. Then to my absolute amazement and delight I felt my breath hitching again and went straight into my pre-sneeze face attempt. I always thought the face was an unconscious thing but perhaps it needs to be conscious for me. I sneezed hard through my nose and got two sounds. A sharp rise in pitch followed by a slower drop in pitch with the choo. Afterwards I'm afraid there was mess, I'm just not used to my sneezes being so productive so I ran off to get a tissue. The nose-blowing wasn't great, it came out very quiet and breathy but it must have achieved something because after three attempts, my nose felt a bit clearer and less sniffly. But I don't care about the blowing, I actually sneezed properly from the right orifice and it felt good and didn't hurt. So proud of myself, must remember to do the pre-sneeze face next time.
Rick Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 Bless you, Alicia - yes, you should be proud of yourself, you got a "proper" sneeze even though it's difficult for you. Sounds like you've found something to do that helps you relax into it just a little. Your descriptions are great - every time you blow your nose, you seem to do something a little different, or at least get a different result.
