Sneezy, Cute, & Contagious Bus Buddy

I recently went to a tournament with a large group of my teammates, which required a 7 hour bus ride. Which would be terrible, except that we look forward to this bus ride every year and we watch movies and bond and it's a charter bus (not one of the lame yellow buses) and it's actually super fun. Anyways, this one guy and I decided to be bus buddies.

The minute he sat down next to me, I knew he was sick. He was hella stuffed up and coughing thickly every five minutes. And the poor thing had to ask me for tissues every 15 minutes. I offered him the first one b/c he sounded so miserable and he kept sniffling, yet he was trying to play it off like he was totally fine. Problem was, I was already scared that I was getting sick when I got up that morning. The tournament we were going to required me to have a voice, so this wasn't a great situation for me LOL.

At first I was really stiff and awkward and germophobic, but he just looked so disheveled and miserable and sick. I felt too guilty. I ended up falling asleep on his shoulder. He had his arm around me and was holding my hand with one hand and was running his other hand through my hair. We have a very interesting friendship and bunch of people sometimes think we’re dating but we aren't LOL. It was cute though, and it sure didn't hurt that he was super, super sick.

He kept wiping his nose with the back of his hand, which made me stiffen each time at first, but I got over my germo-ness and calmed down. He also kept coughing a lot. I felt bad for him though. His coughing was really thick and it sounded painful. Even though he was coughing a ton and I was against his chest,he didn't move me. So I could feel his body while he coughed. Squeeeeee.

He did the same when he sneezed. /melt/ He sneezed in fits of five or six. They weren't huge sneezes, but they were really fast. Once, I tried to bless each one, but they were so fast that I could only bless two of the five. AND I WAS LEANED AGAINST HIM THE WHOLE TIME. He raised his arm up to sneeze into his elbow, but he otherwise did not move. It was great. :3 Since he was pitching forward when he sneezed, he was almost

I managed to stay healthy during the tournament, but my body was too worn out from competing to survive the bus ride home beside the sneezy boy. I woke up the next day feeling like I'd been hit by a train. My head was throbbing, my nose was too stuffed up to breathe through it, and I started sneezing. Not all at once, but throughout the day—which was far worse. I lost track of how many times I sneezed, but the last number I remember counting up to was about 40-something. They were really loud and painful sneezes too, which only happens to me when I’m really sick. They had that “I feel like shit and I’m really sick” sound, so every time I sneezed during class or with friends, someone would turn around and bless me and look at me like I was dying of a terminal illness LOL. This has been going on for days now. I have some more obs from being sick that I may share later but idk. Hope u enjoyed this though LOL.

Aw you guys are so cute, even if you are just friends :) This seems like a dream come true (except for the fact that now you're sick, hope you feel better!) and your observations are wonderful, thanks for this!

Thank you for your great explanation! I really like it!! It sounds so good to lay on his chest WHILE he coughs and sneeze. How did he cover the coughs? Where they chesty? And did he apologise?
