SneezySal
For years now I have lived in a first floor (2nd floor to Americans) flat overlooking the backyard of someone's house. She is a single mum with a little boy and they sometimes play in the backyard. As I sit at my desk I occasionally hear her sneezes. They are uninhibited and huge, with the emphasis on the second half and drawn out, like, "ah-CHOOOOOO!!". What's more, in an average day she sneezes probably more than most people. But for the past three years I've noticed that Spring (September to November here) brings lots more. If I hear one sneeze, I can listen for a few minutes and be guaranteed another, perhaps even two or three. Spring before last I noticed something else. As I washed my dishes, from my kitchen window I saw her hanging her washing out to dry. She pegged out five white handkerchiefs. Five! The next wash day was only two days later and this time there were six. For the rest of Spring, that was the pattern, with the fewest being three. Last Spring must have been particularly polleny, because the "ah-CHOOOs" were every few seconds whenever she was outside. And the hankies were back, too, four to six appearing every few days. I don't mind washing the dishes any more. Link to comment

Hankyrick
Wow.... you are soo lucky. I'll come and wash your dishes if you want. My handkerchiefs usually go on the radiator to dry unless its spring and summer then mine go one the washing line too Link to comment

NoV
I would quite happily wash dishes all day if I was being treated to such a display of drawn out, uninhibited, explosive sneezes as you have described Link to comment
