Tweedledee
Hi everyone So lately, I have a fic idea which calls for female sneezes. Unluckily for me, I have no idea how to spell them (I’m bad at spelling any sneezes, much less feminine ones.) I can’t even spell my own. Any ideas? Link to comment
HideAndGoSneeze
Hmm. I usually use "Haiisheeew!" but everyone is different...it all depends on how high-pitched you want them to have? I know personally I don't...well, I don't THINK I personally have girly sneezes? I think I'm more like "HACHOOO!" and I'm a lady, so... I guess it all depends on how you want the pitch to be read? zneeze
Hi @LaDeeDaa, I used to write female-centric fics all the time, and my best advice for you is to spell them phonetically how you're imagining them sound - if your fic is clear on the gender identity of the person sneezing, readers will hear it as a woman in their head. "Haishoo!" from a man with a deep voice and "Haishoo!" from a woman with a soprano voice would, thus, be spelled the same way. One additional tip, though, might be to describe the tone of the sneezer's speaking or sneezing voice, in addition to the spelling. By that I mean soprano, alto, low, high, squeaky, whispered, etc. Good luck and I will be looking for your fic! Link to comment

This was really helpful and I can envision some spellings now. The fic will be posted soon! Link to comment
Sequoia
If you need some more inspiration, try this video of Zenarios! She sneezes in many different ways and spells them I love her videos in general and this one helped me a lot with writing obs. I hope it's okay that I'm sharing her video here. Link to comment
Pixieflower
Omg, I’m so glad I’m not the only one who has this struggle! I’m also a beginner at this, so I’m not sure if it’s any help, but if I had to spell sneezes I would probably spell them in a more high-pitched(?) and quieter tone, like “hhit’chiew!” or something like that. I liked the way you spelled Wendy’s sneezes in your fic though Link to comment
