When the thread you were just trying to fix up because the Forum wants to act like a bratty spoiled child suddenly gets deleted just when you find a solution to your problem.

Actually, it wasn't deleted. It was hidden. If you check your emails, it explains that it was actually hidden, not deleted, and the reasons for this. Usually we hide threads or posts because they break the rules. It may be a good idea to read through both the email you were sent and also our Rules and Guidelines to find out why this is

I can't find any such email, possibly because I no longer use the email I originally used when I joined the Forum. Could you just tell me here, please?

It was hidden because it broke our overage content rule, mainly the part that reads: 

1. Overage Content: Overage content is defined as anything that describes or depicts overt sexualization such as fondling, masturbation, sexual activity, nudity, etc., as well as graphic violence. All 18+ material is to be posted in the approriate sub-forum and any persons or characters depicted must be over 18 years old. Observations, Stories and Artwork should be posted in the Adult Obs, Stories and Artwork Section. Video clips, photos and audio files can be shared in the Adult Board or Adult sections of the Gallery. Topics for general discussion of adult subjects should be posted in the Adult Board. For clarification, no 18+ material should be posted, linked or directed to other than in the adult areas of the forum. 

The staff will discuss the post and we will advise you of the outcomes of these discussions.
