ABCs on how you’re feeling in 1 sentence

Xanthous mood is my goal, and I'm climbing out of an amber one at the moment.

In case you don't want to look anything up...

Spoiler

Xanthous is an adjective that means "marked by yellow coloration." Yellow mood symbolizes freshness, happiness, joy, clarity, energy, optimism, etc. Amber mood symbolizes mixed emotions, nervous, unsettled, and cool. I told my brother I wasn't comfortable with doing something he wanted me to do for his job. He was cool with it, but I still feel like the favor wouldn't have bothered anyone else or been a big deal to anyone else but me (and a few others; no need to exaggerate). So even though I stayed true to myself, I feel icky that I couldn't just do it.

You’ve never had fun unless you’ve taken down all the Christmas ornaments off the tree for 3 hours by yourself. The home-y decorations will get done tomorrowz.. I think 2 full storage bins of ornaments is enough for one day

Zesty lemons, ginger, and a bit of honey - just add some hot water and you have a delicious and (hopefully) immune system boosting drink. That was my main source of fluids today and I really hope that lemon and ginger do their job!

Beaming throughout my whole phone conversation about being an aunt to my friend’s soon-to-be-born baby, making plans for me to stay for a month, and listening as my friend tells me in her language what the baby will call me. It was too precious!

Freakin out about getting my wisdom teeth taken out because I don’t want to reveal the fetish while I’m drugged or something like that.

@doggo That’s awesome that you’re making this change for your health! You’re already ahead of the game because you know what it’s like to quit and you know what you’ll have to face. Even knowing all that, you’re still determined to quit! That’s amazing in itself. You can definitely do this! You can make small goals at first. Like, saying no to cigarettes longer than you did last time. Treat yourself whenever you reach a goal. Definitely use your gift for writing to put into words why you want to quit and what benefits you’ll get from quitting. Write it when you feel the most secure and the most upbeat about this and read it when you feel weak or down and need a pep talk. Share with us how it’s going and how you’re doing if you think that’ll help to have some accountability. There could be some ex-smokers with advice or people that want to quit like you who would be better accountability partners on here. If that’s too much pressure, then I wouldn’t suggest it. All in all, keep fighting and taking one day at a time. You’ve got this!

That's awesome, facet! I hope the improvement will continue and you'll be feeling better still by tomorrow!

Unwilling to start the new week would be my mood right now. The past week's schedule was all over the place and somehow it feels as if the weekend has only just begun. Monday, I'm not ready for you, my friend.

Vaguely nostalgic/sad/wistful. I miss my hometown in another country. I don't want to go back and I'm happy to be home again yet... my heart really aches tonight. I don't even know what I so sorely miss about it all. It wasn't a place for me. It is a perfectly beautiful place. It was exhausting. It was the best thing. It was not a way to live, to be a person, I almost lost the last bits of my feeble sense of self. It was beautiful and swallowed me whole to be a part of it and I feel like I'm missing a part of myself.
