Hello dear readers

This observation happened last October but unfortunately I needed some time to write it.

It was mid-October, night time on a stormy night and the rain was knocking on the Windows.  I had to report something to the police and since the policeman had opened the door of the station for me, I realized that he probably was not feeling well.   He was at my age, very tall, probably 1.90 m / 6 feet 2 inches, slim and muscular, his hair was very fair, his facial features symmetrical and slightly striking and his eyes light blue

The room was dimly lit, it was a round room, he asked me to sit down
he sat down opposite me, sorting out some of his files. The blinds on the windows were locked. The only light came from a small lamp and the light of the computer.

he told me, 'I've never had a case like yours and I'm still learning every day. 'I just nodded silently, silent tears streaming down my face and he gave me a few uncertain looks while writing down some notes and my personal details.

he asked me some questions and after every sentence he had to cough or clear his throat in kind of harsh way.. it turns out to be a slight cough, he coverd his coughing with his left Hand. Every time he turned away from me, and maybe it made him feel uncomfortable and uncertain because he had to take some time for going on with our conversation.

He had to copy some documents and I could hear him coughing in a small fit while he was in the other room.  When he returned, carrying folders in his arms, he asked me if I needed a break..

When I affirmed, he began to tell me about his education. Since I cried all over our conversation, it felt for me like he did it as a kind of comfort or distraction.

He finished his report and told me he would drive me home with a colleague

It was the middle of the night and they were standing in front of my house, raindrops entangled in his hair. He helped me out of the car because I had injured my leg and arm and he asked me if I needed anything else, I said to him, 'I hope you will feel better soon, I've noticed that you're ill .. '

and he smiled and answered me, 'yes, you have noticed correctly, I have this cough for two weeks now, but my work does not allow me to rest at the moment.'

During our conversation he had to sneeze once .. so I assumed that he had a cold or cough

I know not everyone is into coughing here but I hope you liked this obeservation. Take care

Although only coughing is not the biggest thing for me - thanks for sharing your observation. Nice that you noticed his illness, even if you seems to have a lot of own problems at that day,
