Sneezingnonstop
@deere I got you for the SS and I’m sorry that this was so late on the final day but hopefully you like it nonetheless! ...... Tim felt bored. In the middle of the summer when the sun was out and he should be out having fun, it was a crime to feel how he did. But he couldn’t help but feel apathetic about how the spring semester had finished for his latest college year and he didn’t know what to do with himself. He had a job, but he didn’t need to pick up a shift and did enjoy relaxing. However, his day off was starting to feel like a waste as it was slipping away. “Hey Tim!” Tim turned his head as he sat on the couch and saw his dad coming down the stairs, looking at him expectantly. “Hey dad.” “How’s the day off going?” “It’s going fine.” “Fine...you realize that’s probably one of the most generalized words in the history of words?” “It’s going okay?” “Yeah that’s not a ton better.” “Decent?” “You’re getting colder.” “Swell?” “Now that just sounds fake Tim.” His father chuckled and Tim rolled his eyes, his father had a knack for being annoying about anything, even though it could be slightly funny. “Anyhow,” Tim’s father started, “If you’re not too busy, you could do some lawn mowing.” Tim got up off the couch and glanced outside. The grass was a tad longer than what it was supposed to be, but he had just mowed it the other day. “Dad, it doesn’t really need to be mowed right now though...” “Ahhhh, no reason to make sure it doesn’t get too long. It shouldn’t take much time either.” “But Dad-“ “No buts. Cmon, you might find it won’t be as bad as you think.” There were several ways Tim couldn’t argued that, but his dad didn’t give him much else option as he walked off, pulling his phone out for a call. Not seeing it much as a request but as something he should do, Tim got up, put his shoes on, and headed outside. It was a sunny day out, like very sunny. The sun seemed to beat down on everything not in the shade and the humidity was terrible. It had looked alright from outside but it was actually pretty boiling out. The breeze was a refreshing thing though as it softly reassured Tim that the summer heat could be beat for the time being. He went to grab the lawn mower out of the garage when he heard a sudden and loud sound. “ATTTCCCHH!!!! HAATTTCCCHH!!! ATTTCCCHH!!” Tim jumped a tad slightly when he heard such a loud and powerful sneeze. He glanced around the area and spotted its culprit, and realizing who it was made his heart quicken its pace. It was Cassie, his neighbor neighbor and crush since he met her. He hadn’t talked with her much lately, but that hadn’t been the case when they attended the same school. Her long black hair cascaded down her shoulders and covered her back. She wore a blue tank top and jean shorts that showed off her slender figure, her glasses over her blue eyes and perched on her nose. Which at the moment, was buried in a handkerchief and being massaged thoroughly as Cassie seemed to be recovering from that powerful sneeze. “Bless you!” Tim called out, waving his hand to her Cassie seemed to jump a little bit and stuffed her hanky into her back pocket like her life depended on it, her cheeks crimson with blush. “H-Hey there!” She shouted back. Tim chuckled at their loud greeting exchange and crossed the sea of lawns to get closer to her, smiling as she wore a grin of her own, seemingly as a mask to hide some sort of embarrassment. “Hey yourself. It’s been a while!” Tim said as he came up Cassie. “How have you been doing?” Cassie seemed to be struggling, her pink and irritated nose twitching side to side between her words, “Oh, I’ve been doing fine. My mom wanted to do the lawn so I’m doing that right now.” She rubbed the underside of her nose with her index finger and glanced behind him. “Looks like you’re about to do the same.” Tim nodded, “Yeah actually. Doesn’t really need to be done now but my dad thought it would be a good idea.” “Ahh gotcha. N-Nhuuuhhh-Nice.” “You okay?” Tim asked, noticing how her eyes seemed to be flooding with tears. Cassie’s blush became a deeper shade. “Oh yeah, I’m f-f-fine, it’s just allergies.” She said nonchalantly, rubbing her nose furiously with the palm of her hand. “You’re mowing the lawn...you’re not allergic to grass pollen are you?” “Uhhhhhhh, no. No. No, of course not.” She said, wiping her eyes quickly after moving her glasses slightly. “I should probably get started though, I need it done kind of soon.” “Ah alright, I’ll let you get to it then.” Tim nodded at her lawn mower, which was placed at the top corner of their lawn, like the starting line for a race. Tim started to go back to his side of the lawn when Cassie stopped him. “Uhhhh, Tim, could you actually...Hehhhh...Hehhhhhh....*sniffle*...could you actually start the mower for me? It’s kind of broken down and it’s one of those pull the rope kinds.” Tim felt butterflies fluttering in his stomach but he did his best to keep composed and helpful. “Of course.” He kindly stated, moving to her mower and tugging on the rope a few times before that familiar, low roar of the machine started up. Simultaneously, the exhaust of the mower puffed out a pile of grass clippings right into Tim’s and Cassie’s faces. Tim sputtered and coughed. “BLEH! Ugh, does it normally do that??” He turned to face Cassie again to see her body trembling as she held her hands over her nose, eyes only open slightly as she breathed in and out, her hitching causing her body to shudder up and down. “Hehhh-Heehhhhhh-Hheeehhhhhhh....!!” “Cassie?” Cassie’s eyes rolled back before ferverously rubbering her nose and putting her hands down to her side, her nostrils flaring. “Y-Yeah, I uh-Hehhhhh-Hehhh-Hehhhh....I’m fine.” With the mower started, she moved to it and put her hands on the handles. Tim randomly noticed that she had painted her nails red, but focused back on Cassie, who was quivering with her struggle. Her chest raised itself up and down ever so slightly under her tank top as her gaze was focused and her lips pressed together firmly. “Cassie, you okay?” She didn’t respond, her mouth opening faintly as she let out hitchy breaths of frustration and her nostrils flared with allergic agitation. Her cheeks were red as tears squeezed out of the corner of her eyes. “Cassie?” Tim put a hand on her shoulder out of concern. And with that, the damn broke. “ATTCCCHHOOO!! ATTCCHHH!! ATTCCHHH!! ATTCCHHH!! ATTCCHHH!!” Cassie stumbled backwards away from the mower and cupped her hands over her nose as she was completely overpowered by her sneezes. “HATTTCCCHHHH!!! HEEH-HATTCCCHHH!! HATTTCCCHHH!! HAH-HAH-HATTTCCHHH!!” Cassie tried to put her hands back on the mower handles and gave a weak push as she sneezed more and more, no end in sight. She gave another push for the mower and it cut a small line of grass in front of her. Tim watched in bafflement as Cassie pushed more and more on the mower as she kept sneezing, the smell of grass becoming more potent the more she did. Her head snapped forward with sneeze as her body shook from the force of such out of control sneezes. She made it to the end of the first line of grass and she let go of the handle. The mower puttered to a stop and Cassie stepped away from it, still sneezing powerfully. “HETTTCCCHHHH!! HAAATTCCHH!! HIITTCCCCHHOOO!!!” She stumbled away the mower as she sneezed continuously, Tim finally connecting with his brain that he should help. He rushed over to her, concern all over his face. With some much needed assistance, Tim got Cassie to sit down on her front steps, her body shaking every time she let out a powerful sneeze, one after the other in a nonstop fashion. “Hey Cassie, you okay?” When Tim got a reply that was nothing but sneezes he sat down with her and rubbed her back. At one point, she pulled out her hanky and continued her sneezing rampage into that, not that it seemed to help. “I’ll finish mowing for you if you’d like.” Tim offered. Cassie seemed to pitch forward a little bit more as she kept on sneezing and sneezing, the echo of it ringing against the nearby houses. “HAATTTCCCHHH!!! HATTTCCCHH!! HATTTCCCCHHHH!!! HATTTTCCCHOOOO!!” Link to comment
ThePokeFan599
That's a great story. I wish I had that happen when I mowed the lawn. Link to comment
deere
If that kind of thing happened in my world, I'd like mowing a lot more! Thank you, @Sneezingnonstop- really enjoyed that. 😊 Link to comment
