SneezeFan2312 Posted January 24, 2019 Posted January 24, 2019 Haven't posted in a long while, but I really wanted to share this recent self-obs! I'm not a sneezy person in the least, so this was really exciting for me! Hope you enjoy and let me know what you think (Quick self-description: male, mid-20's, tan skin, 5'10", average build, dark hair//My barber: male, early 30's, tan skin, 5'8", decently muscular, dark hair) I try to visit my barber every 2.5 to 3 weeks to get my fade cleaned up, but I've moved about an hour away from his shop so it's too far to visit on a regular basis. This past week I finally got the chance to visit him - it was about 5 weeks since my last cut, which is quite a while if you're trying to maintain a fade! Anyway, over the past couple of weeks I'd decided to grow my beard out. I'm not one to experiment with my facial hair (I usually keep a light stubble) but I had successfully avoided shaving for a while and decided I liked how the scruff looks. So in addition to having my barber clean up my fade, I also decided to have him line up my beard. He told me that my mustache looked thicker and darker than the rest of my facial hair and that it'd be a good idea to trim that down a bit so everything would look even. I trust him with my life (well, my hair at least) so I agreed...and that's where the fun started! He skillfully guided the clippers around my upper lip and then came to the area right under my nose. Either the vibrations from the trimmer were too strong or I must have breathed in some of the trimmed hairs from my mustache, but my nose began to tickle! I tried to fight off the growing itch but could see my nose beginning to scrunch up in the mirror in front of me. My hands were tucked under the barber cape so I couldn't even rub my nose or pinch it to stop the sneeze. I was determined to keep fighting off the feeling until he finished trimming my 'stache (I didn't want to lose 5 weeks of growth because of a sneeze!). As he was removing the clippers from my face, my barber started to laugh seeing that I was still scrunching my nose. "What's wrong?" he asked with a chuckle. My nose was tickling like crazy at this point. "I think I'm going to snee...heh...", my voice trailed off as I couldn't fight the feeling any longer. "I have to...heh...HETCHOO! HAPTSHOO! AITSCHOO!...I have to sneeze," I said. The itch lingered in my nostrils. He laughed, saying, "Bless you! Yeah, that can happen. I sneeze when I trim my 'stache, too." He grabbed the dusting brush and ran it across my upper lip to clear off any extra hairs...big mistake. My breath began to hitch again as the brush tickled my nose. "Heh...eh...HECHOO! HETCHOO! Ah...ARSHOO! ISHOO!" "Bless you!" he said, still laughing as he pulled the duster away from my face. "Thabks, I'b sorry...ah...about...AISHOO!...that," I said. We laughed it off and kept chatting as he finished the cut. My nose tickled for the rest of the cut and I sneezed twice more while talking to him as I was getting ready to leave. After a solid hair cut, beard trim, and a grand total of 10 sneezes in all, I was feeling pretty good
sneezyboi19 Posted January 24, 2019 Posted January 24, 2019 Hello there.! Wow did that really happen at the barbershop? Geez, that tickle must have been quite intense for you to sneeze so many times and not to mention the sister that triggered even more sneezes. Would have been a lovely sight to see in person. I wonder how your barber sneezes considering that he admitted trimming is beard makes him sneeze too. Anywho, thank you for sharing this amazing self obs. Bless you

Pretty cute, Southern European, 30 or so, fit, dark and very carefully styled hair. Just one: he took the clipper off me, turned aside, and muffled a CHOO! in the crook of his elbow. I blessed him and he apologised. I’d exchange that with being in the shop during your haircut tho
atchoum Posted January 27, 2019 Posted January 27, 2019 I think I've already posted on my barber's sneezes. In the ten years or so I have been going to him, he has sneezed four times while cutting my hair, twice stifled, and twice openly. For a very manly-looking person, his sneezes are just a little rather high-pitched "choo !". On the other hand there are sometimes customers waiting who sneeze, which is frustrating while you are having your hair cut, because you can't look round (or risk losing an ear).
HPG Posted February 2, 2019 Posted February 2, 2019 Nice obs! I wish my boyfriend sneezed when he trimmed his mustache!

I'm quite looking forward to my next visit (which is right around the corner 😄). And ever since he mentioned that, I've been wondering how he sneezes as well...I hope we don't have to wait too long to find out! I've read on another thread on here that being a barber can sometimes be a sneezy profession - I'm hoping that we're both treated to sneezes in the near future! It's interesting how people's sneezes don't always line up with their appearance. I would've expected masculine sneezes from your barber as well, but I have to say I'm a sucker for men who pull off a high-pitched sneeze (especially if they have a deep speaking voice). Heh you never know - maybe one day it'll just happen if the trimmer gets too close to his nose or tickles too much!
SneezeFan2312 Posted February 4, 2019 Author Posted February 4, 2019 Just a quick update: I've noticed that I've been sneezing a lot more in general since growing my mustache out versus when I had a light stubble. It's been about 7 weeks, so the hairs are pretty thick/lengthy. I'm guessing that I'm just not used to the facial hair being right under my nose, but there's sometimes a pesky tickle that leads to a sneeze. I've also noticed that in the morning there are days where I haven't gotten a chance to comb the hairs down and that the hairs rub against my nose and make me sneeze. I guess it's a good thing I don't mind the sneezing ;)

Man you’re good because I grow mine out 2 weeks and that’s more than enough for me I have to trim it all off. Have you considered making wavs for us to listen to your amazing sneezes!?? I can’t wait for you next visit to your barber 💈 hopefully he’ll sneeze sometime too lol thanks for the awesome obs
