Travel Posted January 25, 2019 Posted January 25, 2019 Used tissues to help protect your immune system...yeah, I don't know about that:
Bondi Posted January 25, 2019 Posted January 25, 2019 Yeah, I saw this. People can spend their money on whatever they want, but I'm with the hosts. If you really want to get sick, there are probably cheaper ways of going about it. Also, the "get the cold out of the way" idea probably won't work the way customers want it to anyway.

At this point you're better off getting a flu shot. I hear people have gotten sick from it, but at least it actually works.
Ali Marie Posted January 26, 2019 Posted January 26, 2019 (edited) Please tell me this is a joke. What kind of new age Psuedo-scientific, snake oil garbage (Literal garbage) is this? Talk about a scam. That's just gross. Edited January 26, 2019 by Alexandra Marie
Reader Posted January 26, 2019 Posted January 26, 2019 This is so dumb, but I bet it will take off! I think a lot of people will use it with the intention to get sick so they can excuse themselves from events. Or use it to get other people sick as a joke.
Sawyer Posted January 26, 2019 Posted January 26, 2019 After seeing the website, I'd bet plenty that this is a joke.
Ali Marie Posted January 26, 2019 Posted January 26, 2019 I actually had to look this up & make sure we weren't all getting trolled., It's very real & very disturbing. They are selling used tissues for $80. EIGHTY DOLLARS. But I guess anyone who's dumb enough to spend money on this/think it will work is also too dumb to realize that you could essentially achieve the same objective by getting used tissues out of your neighbor's garbage can for free. Once it's on the curb, it's public property.
medstudent Posted January 26, 2019 Posted January 26, 2019 Wow this is crazy-- I certainly hope that it's just a joke. If it's real, its less so the cost of the product, and more so the fact that people would actually believe that there's some kind of health benefit to rubbing used tissues against your nose. I'm afraid the immune system just doesn't work like that XD
normandy Posted January 28, 2019 Posted January 28, 2019 Woah...this is very, very not good. How do you know that the person sneezing into the tissue only has a minor cold, and not something else? And do they rely on a certain group of people being sick to make more of the product? That probably isn't very ethical. Also, the fact that they'd be sending germs through the postal system is kinda disturbing.
zneeze Posted February 12, 2019 Posted February 12, 2019 I thought I commented on this the first time around, but I must have read it and forgot. This popped up on Stephen Colbert yesterday: Spoiler, my favorite joke of the bit: Spoiler "Have you seen the fancy box it comes in? So fancy! It's like cholera is asking you to marry it."
Bleh Posted February 14, 2019 Posted February 14, 2019 I can't believe this isn't from The Onion. This should be on reddit.com/r/nottheonion
riyona_ebooks Posted February 15, 2019 Posted February 15, 2019 i’m floored to the point where I can’t properly express my disgust in words so have this reaction image
