behind the counter

My girlfriend and I were sitting at the counter/bar in a busy lunchtime restaurant.  There were two young women working behind the bar, and they were slammed.  Friendly, competent and handling it well, but definitely very busy.  Lots of smoothies and shakes, and also a fair number of alcoholic drinks.

Midway through our meal, one of them was doing something facing away from me, and suddenly turned around, and sneezed a rapid triple.  itChoo-itChoo-itChoo

She was very thin, probably in her early twenties, with short dark hair and fashionably large glasses.

Some time later, I heard her say something to the other about someone telling her you don't get sick from being out in the cold (it was very cold outside that day) and she thought he was wrong.  Other than the one triple sneeze, I didn't see any signs she was ill herself, though.
