My YouTube channel just.. disappeared.

I honestly don’t know what happened! I went to check out videos and, like, I was logged out and couldn’t get back in. 

I don’t know if my videos got flagged and the channel got taken down because of that or if something got messed up with logging in because you need a Google account (which I still think is dumb as hell). 

In any case, I’m trying to figure out what to do next. My old content is probably gone forever. I’ll have to check my laptop to see if I have anything saved on there but I don’t think I really saved my own stuff after I uploaded. 

This obviously isn’t the end of the world, but damn... I had that channel going for over ten years. 

Has this happened to anyone else recently?

Try checking your email, they might've sent you an explanation for the deletion. The most common reason Youtube channels suddenly disappear is when channels get 3 strikes on videos all at once, which can happen for various reasons. My channel got removed some years back and yeah, it's pretty terrible.

Mine was almost deleted two months ago for posting sexually explicit content. If you get three strikes (even if they're all at once) they just pull your channel. I'm sorry you lost your content  That's super frustrating.

Definitely seems like they're cracking down. IsraelSneeze from here and patreon had her channel deleted with no warning this week too.

And I know?? That our fetish is sexual to us and in that context these videos are consumed as sexually explicit content, but I honestly (perhaps childishly) wish youtube would just leave them alone since to anyone without the fetish (i.e most people) they're literally just harmless soundbites of sneezing. What the fuck.

Ugh that stinks!! I really enjoyed your channel. My most recent video got flagged for “adult content” and I thought it was going to be taken down but it hasn’t. I’m so sad for you :(

I haven’t decided if I want to upload anything again. It’s weird, I can use my fetish gmail account to log into YouTube on the YouTube app, but if I try on an Internet browser, I get a message that says I can’t. 

I utterly despise having to have a google account in order to use a YouTube account. It needlessly complicates things. 

That said, if anyone saved my videos, you all are more than welcome to share them.
