ToastedBagel Posted May 23, 2019 Posted May 23, 2019 (edited) Hiyo there!! Does anyone have any issues with their content being deleted? I posted a fanfic yesterday and a little while later I went to open it back up and it was gone. I got no warning or notification indicating that it violated any of the forum rules so I'm thoroughly confused. It just disappeared. I also went into my profile and went to the "Content you Started" tab and it showed absolutely nothing for the last 365 days. I'm not understanding how this is possible? I worked really hard on this first part and I'm going to be really upset if I lost all of it. (Next time I'll be sure to save it to my computer in case this happens again 😰) Has anyone experienced anything like this? TIA, Rockerchiccc5 Edited May 23, 2019 by rockerchiccc5 Added a sentence
bloom Posted May 23, 2019 Posted May 23, 2019 consider this: it was probably deleted because you're 22 years old and you were writing about like 16 year old children doing something you find sexually arousing. that's all i'll say on the subject since this isn't the pit, but you can also pm the mods on here asking them why your content was deleted.
ToastedBagel Posted May 23, 2019 Author Posted May 23, 2019 Here's the thing though. There are a few "Glee" related fanfics that are similar to what I posted, and they are still here. So I'm at a loss on why mine was deleted but not the others. Shouldn't they get the same treatment? Either way, I would have loved to at least have a warning that it was being deleted or why it was deleted.
bloom Posted May 23, 2019 Posted May 23, 2019 the rule about stories about minor was only put into place about a year or so ago. stories written before that time haven't been removed from the archive because the moderating team doesn't have time to sift through hundreds of stories to delete them.
Kaze Wo Hiku Posted May 23, 2019 Posted May 23, 2019 Staff do usually send a reason to why something was deleted, you might want to check your email.
PuddinPop Posted May 24, 2019 Posted May 24, 2019 This was my fault - the post isn't deleted, it is just hidden, and as I was in a rush when it was brought to my attention, I forgot to send a message. I have sent you a PM, @ToastedBagel.
