•.*°•☆. Q .☆•°*.• Posted May 29, 2019 Posted May 29, 2019 so my air conditioner has been broken for a few days now, and that means sitting around in shorts and tank tops -- or in the case of the evening, in my sports bra -- with all the windows and sliding glass doors open, in direct blasting range of a fan, at all times. well, having all the doors and windows open in the middle of late spring with the fan on me has also been aggravating my allergies, which are admittedly a new experience for me. i'd heard of people developing allergies later in life, but i didn't think i'd really be one of them. surprise? pollen.com informs me that i'm likely allergic to grass pollen, which isn't actually all that surprising, cut grass has always made my nose run, but i've never had reliable allergies that came to any fruition as far as sneezing goes before. i've sneezed at least 14 times today. my soft palate and ears are itchy, and every so often the breeze blows just the right way and that itch creeps up into my nostrils, teasing me for several tense, teetering seconds before i'm able to sneeze, at which point i usually feel the need to sneeze again, but the sensation just sits there, leaving me sniffling and blinking and wanting. i actually sneezed three times in a row in this fashion this evening, and still felt the need to sneeze again, but the feeling fucked off, unfortunately. i hate when a sneeze just doesn't happen! glancing into a bright light a few seconds into a build-up helps catalyze one for me usually, but these allergic sneezes are incredibly unpredictable and stubborn. anyway, more obs to come if i experience anything else of note.
ThePokeFan599 Posted May 29, 2019 Posted May 29, 2019 Congrats on discovering this new allergy, and bless you. Can't wait to read more obs. Great description of the building sneeze and torture leading up to the sneeze, or lack of a sneeze.
•.*°•☆. Q .☆•°*.• Posted June 2, 2019 Author Posted June 2, 2019 pollen.com says that today's pollen count is relatively low compared to the last week, but i don't believe them! i've been awake for half an hour and i've already sneezed three times. i usually sneeze that much in a day (the last two weeks notwithstanding). 🤧
Justasneezygirl Posted February 20, 2020 Posted February 20, 2020 Wondering if your allergies continued? Is it definitely pollen? I am gaining new allergies lately and working on figuring it out!
littleOthree Posted February 25, 2020 Posted February 25, 2020 bless you! thanks for sharing this story of sneeziness
