Hoping you can help me find an old original fiction

I have been searching and searching under every key word I can think of for two old original fictions and I am hoping someone cAn help me locate them (perhaps someone with a much better memory than me).  

1.  The first involves a group of friends camping when the guy becomes ill and his girlfriend and him have to hike out alone together.  I remember he is a teacher and I believe she is a lawyer.

2. The second was a multi part story of a man with terrible allergies and a girl who becomes his girlfriend and later wife.  She works in her fathers law firm and they meet when he is there helping his father (a client) who has been in an accident.  I remember the guy uses handkerchiefs as he is allergic to tissue and also he was adopted.

I don't know about the first one, but the second fic is called "A Brush with Kindness" by VATERgrrl. I know this is posted on the Sneezefic Archive, but I don't know if it's on the forum as well.
