sexyhankysneeze Posted June 7, 2019 Posted June 7, 2019 If so, how do you cope at work? Do you bring tissues? Hankies? Just sniffle constantly? Do you preload on heaps of medicine? Etc
Photic Posted June 16, 2019 Posted June 16, 2019 I have before but I have often regretted doing so. If I have to be around other people all day I will usually just stay home because I don't want to get others sick. However I used to work in the office of a grocery store and I was usually the only person in there so it didn't really matter if I was sick or not. I could sneeze my head off all day and nobody would know about it. But yeah I would tend to just keep a tissue box in there with me. I almost never take medicine when I'm sick unless I just feel like absolute death.
Joal 555 Posted June 16, 2019 Posted June 16, 2019 Absolutely! I never took time off work for a cold. I used to shut my office door to minimise contact with other people and control the symptoms as far as possible with paracetamol.
daystar428 Posted June 17, 2019 Posted June 17, 2019 Yes, sadly it happens often enough that it would be too much leave for sniffles, stuffy nose, or cough. I bring some tissues usually but load up on cough drops to be able to talk while teaching. However, if I have a fever 😷 I stay home if possible.
Victoria Posted June 17, 2019 Posted June 17, 2019 I tend to sneeze a lot with a cold, so I always medicate if I have to go anywhere in public, for any length of time. I hate that groggy, medicated feeling, but I hate cold symptoms in public more. So I do it, rather than stay home, which isn't always possible anyway.
•.*°•☆. Q .☆•°*.• Posted June 18, 2019 Posted June 18, 2019 i work from home, so it isn't an issue for me! hole up in my room with some soup & juice and do what i gotta do to get the job done >:3
Sitruuna Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 Always. Unless my work required you to stay home when even a little sick (such work would be, for example, anything where you are working with small kids or other people who might not be able to handle a cold) not going to work simply because of a cold is weird to me. Also I don't really do anything special? It really depends but the most I'd do is to take some tissues with me. I don't take meds so no for that.
