wmb19 Posted June 9, 2019 Posted June 9, 2019 (edited) A wet, productive sniff sounds from behind you. “Unngh,” your girl moans, groaning your name. “I don’t know how I’m going to make it through tonight.” You turn around in the bathroom, staring at her reflection in the mirror as she tries desperately to apply her makeup – she’s stunningly gorgeous without it, but even you yourself would admit that some concealer would do some good for her for this fancy event. Her nose is an angry red and growing more irritated-looking by the minute. You’re both going to her friend’s wedding tonight. A childhood friend, and one that she’s close with – too close with to bail despite her awful allergies. You’ve met the friend once – though it was at a nightclub two years back so you can’t exactly say your remember her – but you wouldn’t miss the free-flowing cocktails and pricey steak, regardless. Most importantly, you know that your lady also needs you for support. You’ll have to cover for her when she inevitably falls into a sneezing fit, hand her tissues, and just make sure she’s okay. This time of the year is so hard on her. She’s already missed some days at work because allergy season has hit so hard this year. You want to be there for her. You turn away from the mirror to look at her. She’s massaging the bridge of her nose, pushing and rubbing on the upturned tip and nostrils in an attempt to hold off a round of sneezing. “Hiiihh!” Her breaths hitches by your ear as you push her hair back and press a light kiss to her temple. Poor thing. “Ehh-hehh! Hiihh-ehhh…” You place another kiss on her twitching, quivering nose. “Everything’s going to be okay,” you tell her. “You’re just going enjoy tonight. Everyone sneezes, no one’s going to think anything of it if you do.” “Not ehhh-everyone sneezes as much as I – iihh..heh-ihhh…do!” She bursts the last word out before the attack hits her. “Hah-IIisCH! IIisscHh! NxgSTCH! NxgSTCH! Iiih-hihSCHOO! IiHISChOO! AAHhIIISChOO!” Her sneezes grow more powerful with each successive sneeze, her torso bending and neck snapping forward. Yes, she will certainly make quite the appearance tonight. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Just the short few steps from the front door to the car was too much for her, the pollen weighing heavily in the warm spring air. It’s a beautiful day, and you just want to smile upon feeling the sun on your skin. But then you hear your girl sniffling and hitching by your side and you remember how awful such beautiful weather can be for her. She looks…..stunning. The navy dress hugs her perfect hourglass figure, leaving very little to the imagination when it comes to her hips and ample chest. You love that type of neckline on her – you can see the tops of her breasts yet she still somehow makes it look classy. Her gold heels and jewelry complement the color and her wavy, chestnut hair – only offset by the allergic redness threatening to break through the layer of makeup on her skin. “Hiihhh…ehhhh…” she hitches as you turn on the car. You suddenly find her nose burrowed into your neck and she groans. “I want to blow my nose but it’ll take off the makeup.” She hitches a bit more unsuccessfully. “Try not to blow it,” you tell her, placing a gentle kiss on the tip of her nose. She scrunches it and hitches some more in response. “Ighh! Giihhh..ehhh…” “It’ll take the makeup off,” you explain. “I know, I know…” Congestion is evident in her voice, turning her “know’s” to almost “doh’s.” She gets so stuffy, and it’s impossible to hide it. Her nose is a beautiful shape – on the slimmer side but not narrow at all, just straight and even and perfect, framed on either side by also-perfect round nostrils that are so often twitching and flaring with irritation during allergy season. She suffers through three sneezing fits in the car, a twenty-five minute drive to your destination. Her fits are long, drawn-out; she hitches, then stops, then hitches some more, before just the first sneeze finally finds its way past her defenses. At that point she sneezes in twos, or sometimes threes, stopping to gasp and hitch so desperately in between. It was a challenge to keep your eyes on the road and not on the twitchy, itchy, sneezing beauty next to you. Her chest bounces as she sneezes and her mouth opens and lips part as she hitches, sporting the most gorgeous pre-sneeze expression as she waits for the next round of sneezing to hit. “I’m sorry baby,” you tell her as she blows her nose. It had to be done- she’s already gotten quite drippy and messy- and that would be a worse disaster than rubbing off some of the makeup. She blows wetly and congestedly, and you continue to rub her thigh through the thin fabric while keeping your other hand on the wheel. “I don’t know how I’m going to make it through tonight,” she tells you again. You take a glance at her as you park the car, and her eyes are already looking a touch pink and swollen. “Don’t worry, I’ll be here for you,” you tell her. She rolls her eyes but grins at your caring words. “Even if you’re sneezy and a drippy mess I still think you’re beautiful.” You both get out of the car. There’s a large group of people, all dressed to the nines like yourselves, mingling outside. The wedding is at a repurposed farmhouse. Its rustic beauty is rich and warm, all deep browns and lush reds accented with exposed wood and lanterns. It’s beautiful, really. You start to step towards the building as your girlfriend clutches your arm while clutching a tissue to her aggravated nose. Then you see it. A clearing off to the side of the building. The ceremony. There’s a white trellis covered in flowering vines. And perhaps 200 seats in the grass in front of it. They each have their own flower tied onto the back. How charming. “IIisscHh! IiisscHh!” Your girlfriend hitches again before releasing the last “Hah-IIisCH!” She groans. “Ugh, let’s get inside. Quickly.” She looks up, seeing the outdoor ceremony that you’ve spotted. “Shit.” -------------------------------------------------------------- To be continued! Comments greatly appreciated! Chanel_no5 Posted June 9, 2019 Posted June 9, 2019 It's lovely. I very much adore the descriptions, and GOD I was in the mood for something allergy-torturous tonight, so thank you!! Usually I'm not one for fics where the sneezer is or portrayed to be my own age or younger, but the desperation and the itchiness and the wonderful misery of the girlfriend here is just...
NickG1998 Posted June 10, 2019 Posted June 10, 2019 Please continue this amazing story and keep up the good work
MzMental Posted June 10, 2019 Posted June 10, 2019 I LITERALLY LOVE IT WHEN YOU WRITE. Also, you're so good at the 2nd person POV. It is so easy to imagine that you really are the person experiencing the story. I love it. Can't wait for more.
ThatSneezyGirl Posted June 10, 2019 Posted June 10, 2019 That was AMAZING!! I can’t wait to read the next part 😍
NoV Posted June 11, 2019 Posted June 11, 2019 Enjoyed reading this - you include some great details that just add to the appeal of the story and characters, like descriptions of her nose, how she breathes when the sneezes are building On 6/9/2019 at 11:54 PM, wmb19 said: Her sneezes grow more powerful with each successive sneeze, her torso bending and neck snapping forward. Just the sort of fit I like to read about
chalkdust Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 Exactly the kind of story I love, and so well written. I think as someone said, that 2nd person POV is very good.
doglover111 Posted June 22, 2019 Posted June 22, 2019 I can’t wait for more. I would love to see her try to keep quiet and stifle.
Saimou Posted June 24, 2019 Posted June 24, 2019 Oh my! I’ve hoped for a reader-centric female sneezefic for so long, and this one is off to a great start. I certainly hope to see more updates to this story, soon. Thank you so much.
wmb19 Posted September 12, 2019 Author Posted September 12, 2019 Thanks for all the feedback everyone!! So sorry it has been so long! Please let me know if you have any ideas or requests for future chapters. Chapter 2: The ceremony has started, and you’re already desperate for it to end. You and your girl chose a seat almost all the way in the back, with her at the end – just in case she needs to make a quick escape. Aaand it’s looking like that’s going to need to happen – sooner rather than later. “NgXt!” She stifles into her hand for what seems to be the hundredth time. “Hiih- ihNgXt! IiiSChh!” It’s perhaps fifteen minutes into the outdoor ceremony. Blessings are still being given and the officiant is droning on and on about how the couple met and how wonderful they are. Not that you’ve really been able to listen. “Your marriage will be a lifelong promise to love, ‘Eh-tschh!’ respect, ‘Ih-ht’tschh!’ trust and honor each other through the good, ‘Heh-kschiu!’ the bad and the ‘IiHISChOO!’ unexpected. This union represents your commitment ‘iihhh…’ to support one another ‘hhiiiihhhh….’ as individual ‘ah!’ beings but share your joys ‘ihh!’, sorrows, and dreams as one. A strong bond ‘NxgSTCH! NxgSTCH! Ehh-hgNXxt!’ works in unison not only to nurture ‘Heh-kschUU! Ehh-hgNXxt! NxgSTCH!’ the best parts of your personalities, but to understand each other’s differences and flaws.” The people sitting close to you look towards your girlfriend in annoyance. As if she’s doing this on purpose! You roll your eyes, your sniffling, irritated and sneezy girl next to you completely oblivious to their glares. She’s clutching her handkerchief to her face desperately like a lifeline, so that all you can see are her red, streaming eyes that are already looking a bit puffy and swollen with allergic irritation. You just know she’s feeling the itchiness of every single grain of pollen that’s embedded itself in her eyes and nose. She’s trying to stifle every sneeze so as to not disturb others during the ceremony, but there’s only so many sneezes one person can stifle; she can barely take in a breath at this point she’s sneezing or hitching so often. There’s a field of sunflowers off to the side of the farmhouse venue. Long grasses are waving in the breeze on either side of the ceremony space, and each chair is tied off with a cute little sprig of baby’s breath. Even the trellis that the couple is getting married under has a grand spray of golden sunflowers and red roses. You know your girl is sensing every little bit of it. “NGKtSChUU! NGKtSChUU! IiiShOO! EeHHISchOO!” She jerks forward next to you, snuffling wetly and wiping her terribly sensitive nose with her already saturated handkerchief. You hadn’t thought to bring another – who would’ve thought someone would hold a wedding ceremony outside in this oppressive summer heat? Her endowed chest bounces a bit with each sneeze- a strapless dress calls for a strapless bra after all, you suppose, and those aren’t all that supportive. A few strands of chestnut hair have escaped her small, decorative braid and dance around her face. You certainly hope those aren’t going to tickle her poor nose even further. Her breath continues to hitch and catch desperately, and she gives a few pathetic- sounding coughs, with a little wheeze at the end. Time to go inside. She’s been through enough, and who knows how long this ceremony could go on for? You clutch her arm at her elbow and rise, and she follows you blindly, the handkerchief still held up to her face so that no one can get a glimpse of the disastrous mess happening underneath. You pull her past the aisle, ignoring the jeers and glares you get for the disruption. Can’t they see she can barely breathe and is suffering so? Her sneezes have become back-to-back with no break or relief to so much as take a breath. Her breath snags terribly, only to be released in the itchiest-sounding sneezes you think you’ve ever heard. You finally approach the farmhouse and bring her inside, for what you hope is some desperately-needed relief. Please let me know what you think! Thanks so much for reading and commenting!

Sorry! Anywho, I do really love this story. The pov is awesome and she is just SO miserable 😍
MzMental Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 As usual, your use of 2nd person pov is just spot on. So glad you were able to get back to this story. Brilliant!
