Willowwhip Posted June 11, 2019 Posted June 11, 2019 I think i have a feel for what the answer to this is gonna be, but I was curious. I'm writing a story for this place and I was wondering if I should write out the discovery and concealment of illness from her teammates, or if I should jump right to the meat and potatoes and get to caretaking?
Blah!? Posted June 11, 2019 Posted June 11, 2019 Personally I always like having some more context and some more meat on the narrative, so starting earlier would be my vote. I'm generally more into allergies than illness, but when I am in the mood for illness stuff, the sick character initially realizing that they're sick is one of my favorite parts of it.
•.*°•☆. Q .☆•°*.• Posted June 11, 2019 Posted June 11, 2019 it depends entirely on what part excites you the most to write! if you're not feelin one part or the other, it won't be as enjoyable to write or to read. but if you're amped about it, it will be fun to write and to read!
Reader Posted June 11, 2019 Posted June 11, 2019 Personally, I could do away with denial unless the actual sick person just doesn’t realize it yet, but my vote goes for starting earlier when the cold symptoms start.
Willowwhip Posted June 12, 2019 Author Posted June 12, 2019 I'm gonna go earlier. I'm so impatient though and indecisive. I ought to have made an outline. I first started it mid combat, because there's fighting, and then I went back to when she first wakes up sick, but now I;m starting it when the party enters the inn because I wanted to sneak in some secret care-taking before she wakes up sick. Guys she's so sleepy. She's so sleepy and cute I love her so much That is all.
