marina<3 Posted July 16, 2019 Posted July 16, 2019 Hey guys! So this isn’t a super exciting observation by any means, but I’ve been DYING to share my excitement about it with someone and you all are the only people that will understand. So the other night I went out on a date with a guy for the first time. We were just talking and getting to know each other when the topic of pets came up. When I asked if he had any pets he shook his head. He replied: “Um, well I don’t. Not because I don’t like them, but um I’m actually slightly allergic.” He seemed a little embarrassed, which made it even cuter. And guess who has a dog?? You guessed it. Me. I mentioned to him that I had a dog, and he smirked. “That’s okay. That’s not a deal breaker or anything.” He chuckled. “Normally I can just use some nasal spray and I’ll be okay.” By this point I was internally squealing. I had a million questions. I know some people have allergies that make them itchy or their throats swell. But to me that sounded like it makes him sneeze. He asked me out on a second date, so if things continue to go well, I will keep you all updated. Sorry this was kind of boring, but I was super excited and can’t share my excitement with anyone else.
March Hare Posted July 18, 2019 Posted July 18, 2019 Oooh, GURL can I relate. I have a cat. I have a very cute man coming over to my house for a first date. Said cute man has told me he's allergic to cats, but "a short exposure should be fine". I will be wobbling around giddy with anticipation for the next six days. I wish you LOTS of enjoyment on that second date

marina<3 Posted August 5, 2019 Author Posted August 5, 2019 UPDATE!!! Okay guys, so I have an update! We can call him G. So the other night G and I went out to eat on another date and afterwards we decided to sit in my car to talk longer. But I had literally just had my dog in the car before the date. (I didn’t plan this AT ALL, he was actually the one to ask to sit inside.) Before he could get in, I stopped him and explained the situation. “There’s probably a lot of dog hair in there...” I warned. “Like a lot??” He asked. “Um, yea, kinda...” I responded a little embarrassed. “Eh, it should be okay.” He shrugged nonchalantly. So we sat in my car for an hour. And you know what?? Not even one sniffle. For the ease of our dating, I guess it’s good he can tolerate my dog’s hair. But I do have to say, I was A LITTLE disappointed. Fast foward to today and he texted me. I asked how his day was going and he responded with a long text saying that he was doing good but had woken up feeling crappy with a sore throat. He also explained that his nose had been bothering him all week. I absolutely melted thinking about this. Later in our conversation we planned a date planned for tomorrow, I told him if he ended up not feeling up for it that it was okay. SOOO I will keep you all updated again. I am so curious to hear what his sneeze sounds like. That anticipation of waiting for a new person to sneeze is a killer....
sneezingfun894 Posted August 9, 2019 Posted August 9, 2019 Ooh! I’m so looking forward to an update on this
marina<3 Posted August 19, 2019 Author Posted August 19, 2019 So I wish I had better news for you all, but I don’t. :( he texted me the morning of our date letting me know that he was so sick he had to call out of work and didn’t feel up to our date that night. He later went on to explain that he had a terrible head cold and had slept all day and when he woke up his nose was runny and he was coughing, too. i haven’t had a chance to see him since then because my work requires a lot of travel :( ugh. Honestly this was tragic and I was so excited, but maybe I will have obs for you all in the future with him! Fingers crossed!
Feo Posted August 19, 2019 Posted August 19, 2019 I feel sorry for you! I guess you would have loved to go on a date with him and his terrible head cold! 😢 Hope there will be more for you in the future!
