Almost Ob at the Mall.

I was going into the elevator at the parking garage next to the mall when a woman probably late 30's dirty blonde hair, fair-skinned and a few freckles on her face, dand her two daughters walked in. Right as the door closed, the woman said "I have to sneeze" and began to rub her nose with the front of her hand back and forth. A couple seconds later, she said "maybe not" gave a small sniff, and the sneeze went away. 

What made this ob memorable, and maybe a little awkward, was the older daughter turned to the mom and said, "you know daddy doesn't like it when your wish away your sneezes." To which the mom replied, "yeah, your dad is crazy." The family left the elevator two floors before me. 

Anyway, perhaps the father has the fetish? Maybe? It was difficult not to offer my condolences, but I kept silent.

No words in the English language get my attention faster  

Oh well, the sneeze will just have to be left to the imagination - I imagine it would have been hugely violent and deafeningly loud in the confinement of the lift

I beg to differ  

As she was in a confined space with other people, she would have stifled and said "excuse me".
