Absolutely amazing photic sneezes (F)

Y’all.  I have literal butterflies.  This is the most amazing obs I’ve had in a while.  Incredibly lucky timing.  I just got a to go order at Taco Bell, and as I was getting in my truck to leave, these 2 girls walk outside.  They were probably 19/20 years old.  The girl in question had blonde hair pulled back into a ponytail, a slightly larger than average nose, but she was quite attractive.  The two of them were chatting when they came outside, and they turned toward her car, which they walked directly toward the setting evening sun to go to.  Literally not more than 2 seconds after emerging into the sunlight, the blonde girl got a super sneezy look on her face and immediately sneezed a wet “huh chhhshhhtt!!” Openly and slightly down toward the ground.  She immediately needed to sneeze again with only time for one breath in between, and once again leaned forward with a totally uncovered, wet “huh chhhsssshhttt!” And this one was at an absolutely perfect angle.  They were a few feet past my truck, so she Was in sunlight but the shaded building was behind them, so I saw a pretty sizable cloud of spray fly out of her mouth on that one.  She immediately sneezed a third time, still openly and wet, but I only got a back view this time.  She seemed completely unfazed by it, I’m sure it happens all the time.  They both kept walking the whole time she was sneezing, and she rubbed at her nose a couple seconds before getting into her car and that was it.  The whole thing lasted less than 10 seconds but it was absolutely incredible and I had to share.

Its great when everything just seems to fall into place and you get the perfect storm of a sneeze obs - sounds amazing, especially how relaxed she was with just letting those sneezes fly

Wonderful observation you lucky guy  Uncovered sneezes really do make some great moments, its too bad you only got back view on the third sneeze!

As someone with a photic reflex, I can vouch for how powerful the ones are that the sun causes. Amazing that you got to see it like that! She must deal with it a fair amount to be so relaxed and open about her sneezes!

As someone who's sneezes are the same whatever the trigger, I'm always curious about people who sneeze differently dependent on the stimulus. Just wondering how the build-up differs for you when it is a photic sneeze - is it quicker or more prolonged than your normal sneeze?

For me, it's more of a steady an intense build. The sun is so bright, and you can't just walk away from it (it generally happens to me when im driving so i can close my eyes either). My normal sneezes kind of tease me a bit before they come out, and I can usually hold them back if I try. But with the sun, my eyes are just being assaulted by bright light, couldnt stop if I tried. 

But that could just be me, now that I think about it. Everyone is different.

I don’t always sneeze in the sun but my sneezes usually have a long buildup like I can’t get it out. I try to look at the sun to trigger it and then just sneeze uncontrollably a couple of times since they can’t just be stifled .. even less than those when you’re congested. But they’re also soooo relieving ...

Wet sneezes?? Wow! I bet they had lil noses to match too! I bet they were from cold countries and were raised on fresh air as city people have very ugly dry sneezes!!
