Today during a rehearsal my band director mentioned multiple times how he “is not getting sick” although throughout the rehearsal he ended up blowing his nose 4 separate times... The first time he mentioned how he wasn’t getting sick was because he kept messing up what he was saying when he was trying to give instructions so i’m assuming his mind was really cloudy as he usually is on top of his game. After he corrected himself he goes “I’m not getting sick I swear” and then punctuated the end of his sentence with a VERY congested sounding sniffle. The other couple of times he mentioned it were usually after blowing his nose (while in the middle of conducting mind you) or when his voice would occasionally crack. He gets sick pretty frequently but I’ve never heard him be in such denial over it which I think is pretty cute lol.
