Shining Light
Do you have that thing where someone you wouldn't normally be interested in sneezes in a way you find intoxicating? My neighbour is fairly tall, slightly overweight, with long straight dark hair and rosy white skin. Her nose is quite small, set between kind brown eyes, straight with a bit of an upturn, little round nostrils. She's pretty, somewhere in her 30s, and generally nice to talk with, but basically not the kind of woman I am usually attracted to. Until today, I'd never actually seen her sneezes. I just heard them through the walls. Usually, it's singles. Low pitched, just one or two syllables, a satisfyingly soft ending despite a harsh throaty beginning (which doesn't usually do it for me). They're not the loudest I've ever heard, but I live in an older block of flats with thick walls, so it's quite impressive. Today I saw her walk past my window as she was taking her kids to school. Her back was to me as she strode along, bag over her right shoulder, calling out to her kids to slow down. As she walked, I saw her raise her left arm to crook it around her face for half a second, before ducking forwards mid step with a powerful explosion that had her wobble slightly in her heels. "Huhhh-AASSHHHH!" Just as quickly as it had started, the sneeze was over, and my neighbour continued on her way down the street. I smiled, made a mental note, and got on with my day. Now, this wasn't bad at all, even if I usually like a girlier sneeze. But it reminded me of the one time I caught a fit from her, which I'll share with now. I heard this episode through my bedroom wall, which I think backs on to her kitchen. It was one evening a couple of months ago, so a fairly grey sky in the middle of London autumn. I think she had had a cold, as there had been a week or so of sneezes occurring about twice a day, and I'd seen her with tissues once or twice in the street. Well, I heard her walk into her kitchen and just let fly a particularly passionate sneeze. It was brilliant. "Hah-ESSCHHH!" I was immediately intrigued and sat up in my bed, wondering if she'd follow up with a rare second sneeze. Almost immediately, I was in luck, and I heard her barrel through another hearty sneeze that must have rattled the mugs on her kitchen table. "Huhhh-AASSHHHH!!" I grinned guiltily at this, because I could tell she was suffering and she's always been pleasant enough. But before I could think about this too much, she surprised me (and herself, I think) with a pair of enormous, empassioned and very emotive sneezes. "Hehhh-USSHH! HEAASSSCHHH!!?" Obviously, at this point I was craning my ear to the wall, the better to pick up every detail of the fit I hoped she would continue with. She didn't disappoint. Because I was so close in and focused so intently, I could now hear her breath hitch as she built up to another awesome belter of a sneeze. This was a first too; I don't remember a delay, usually she just gets on with it. Her breaths were shallow, but audible even through the yellow brick walls, and I couldn't tell if she was clamping a hand to her nose in an attempt to ward off the troublesome tickle, or staring into the weak evening light and fanning her face so as to accelerate the tingling sensation to it's final fruition and some much needed relief. It hardly mattered anyway. "Hahh... HAHH... HARRSHH! HARRESSCHHH!!! *Sniffle* "Heh... haahh... *ugh* ... heh!-HUURRISHHOOOOO!" I like to imagine that third sneeze caught her off guard, a brief false start to round off an unimaginably tickly trio of sneezes, the last one the loudest and longest of all. This was the first time I'd heard her sneezes come out in multiple syllables, and it was driving me crazy, I'd never been more attracted to this woman than I was in that moment. Through the wall, I heard the rip of a kitchen roll and a strained exclamation of irritation at the continued sneezing fit. "Oh goddd!" There was a pause, and I could just tell she was winding up for another sneeze. Her breath was catching again as she struggled to inhale the sweet autumn air through her stuffy nostrils, her voice quavering as she tried in vain to manage the overwhelming urges flowing throughout her poor, tortured nose. I imagined she was holding the sheet in front of her, waiting vainly for the climax to arrive. These would be the last three, but they were definitely the best. "Hehh... HAH-USSHHHUHH!!" The first sneeze was wetter than the ones before it, sounding almost muffled - by the kitchen roll maybe? "HURRSSHHHH!!!" Her second sneeze smacked of desperation, a single screaming syllable that I'd have been able to hear from my bathroom if I'd not been so enjoying this audio delight. "HEHH- uhhh? HEAHH... come on come on... HAHHH... HARRRESSHHIEWW!!!!" This last sneeze, number ten, was absolutely delicious. A full three seconds of tortured build up, vocal frustration and urging the sneeze on, and a fully unrestrained onslaught of pent up power as the full force erupted out of her like a fountain. At this last, incredible outburst, she gave her nose a good strong blow and started clattering around in the kitchen, ending the show for me. It was a very memorable experience, despite lacking the girly flourishes that really send me over the edge. I think she must have gotten better soon after as there weren't many more sneezes that week. But what a way to go. ... That was a fairly long one but I hope you enjoyed. I certainly enjoyed writing it 😅 Edited November 10, 2020 by Shining Light Link to comment
oOMariusOo
Very nice observations and very well written. A big thank you to you for sharing, I loved reading it. With lots of details. I won't hide from you that I even shuddered when reading it, it was so intense. I had a similar experience, with a bit of the same type of woman and through walls. Explosive sneezes that lasted a few days and quite powerfully. They are the best. Reading your observation somewhat revived those memories. Thanks again. Link to comment
