SusieQusie
The grass pollen is really getting to me this year. These past couple of weeks have been exhausting, frustrating, and embarrassing. I’ve attempted to find groups or articles about the high counts in my area, but no one seems to be as affected as I apparently am. Also basically I’m way too shy to mention it in person. Verbally describing my symptoms to anyone, including even an allergist, makes me cringe. So I hope you don’t mind if I post about it here. I’m SO itchy. Eyes, nose, throat. None of these vital organs ever stop itching even for a moment. I’m having the worst time sleeping because of this. I rub my nose and sniffle a lot but the itchiness never stops no matter what. If I’m not sneezing, then I nearly always feel like I’m about to sneeze. Sneezing is a relief, but only for about a minute and then my nose goes back to tickling all over again. I’m working part time in the cash office right now and every day I have to set aside about a half hour to either sneeze or almost sneeze multiple times. Not to mention, the walls are paper thin and my boss blesses me more than even my boyfriend does. Pretty sure my boyfriend has given up blessing me. These days he just casually asks if I’m dying. 😂 I sneezed 4 or 5 times while typing this. I’m way out of practice spelling sneezes but they were loud, with a high pitched “cheeeew” at the end. Also I can’t stifle anymore. I’ve tried. The constant urge to sneeze is entirely too intense. It’s out of control. Thanks for listening. 😊 Link to comment

webmeistro
Stuff like this makes me feel so conflicted... I love hearing about beautiful girls having horrible allergy attacks, but at the same time I feel sorry for the people having them. It does sound really Not Fun. sneezomania
I'm with webmeistro on this one. Susie, it surprises me that you're able to work under these conditions. Anyway, thanks for posting. Link to comment

Rick
Goodness, that does sound difficult to handle, especially if rubbing and blowing your nose don't help ease it any. I think the fact that you say you've lost the ability to stifle your sneezes probably shows how much you're stuggling, because I remember you always had really good control, bless you. Justasneezygirl
I’m so sorry you are feeling so terrible and Bless You! I was trying to find out more information about grass pollen allergies. I felt very similar to how you described - couldn’t stop itching or sneezing or feeling like I was going to sneeze. Something with the rain caused it to intensify and I was reading that rain makes grass pollen spread. I’m wondering if all of the rain has been making it a tough allergy season. Link to comment
Bless you, Hi
I think from your really hot description that you need to get some rest. I've heard the fastest way to recover from allergies is to post obs about them daily. I hope you feel better soon. Link to comment
Niceguy
So... Is your office hiring? 😆 Link to comment
BlondeSneezer
This post hits home. Not only is the grass pollen really bad here but I'm also smack dab in the middle of the country where the smoke from all the wildfires seems to be wafting over here. As such, my allergies are the worst they've ever been. I can't be far without a handkerchief (I've since given up on tissues since I've been sneezing and blowing my nose so much I've rubbed my nose raw). Link to comment
