Nessa's sneezy battle (A pokemon FanFic

It was a typical evening in hulbury. Nessa was at her stadium getting ready for her next battle. This time, the challenger was a 22 year old named Alex. (That's right. It's my persona. Expect to see me in my future Pokémon fanfics) He has just cleared the gym challenge and was healing up his Pokémon while waiting for the gym leader at the battlefield.

Referee: Nessa, The trainer has just cleared the gym challenge and is waiting you at the battlefield.

Nessa: Alright. Let's do this.

Nessa made her way to the battlefield to greet the trainer.

"You must be Alex." She said. "You may have already realized it, but I'm Nessa. No matter what kind of plan your refined mind may be plotting, my partner and I will be sure to sink it. Goldeen, I choose you!" 

And with that, Nessa threw her pokeball to release goldeen.

"It's a good thing I got a life jacket. Alright Vileplume, Let's show her what we're made of!" Alex said as he let his pokeball fly releasing his Vileplume.

Nessa: A grass type,huh? Can't say I'm sure surprised. Golden, Horn attack!

Goldeen rushed toward Vileplume but the grass/poison proved to have great reflexes and dodged the attack.

Alex: (Chuckles) My turn. Vileplume, Give'em a taste of your petal blizzard!

His pokemon then summoned multiple pink petals that circled around it's body. 

Now according to the pokedex, Vileplume's pedals release clouds of pollen that have been known to trigger major allergy attacks every time it moves. And so as the pedals continue to spin, Vileplume also summoned a hurricane of pollen! As Nessa ended up inhaling some of the pollen, Her nose started to tickle.

Vileplume then fired the razor sharp pedals at it's opponent.

"Alright Golden." Nessa said with a Sniffle. "Time to use...(Sniffle)...Use...ah...algil...Ah...AH...AAACHHOOOO!"

Nessa's sneeze got in the way of her words and Golden wasn't able her command.

"Just as I planned!" Alex said with another chuckle. Now Vileplume, Use pedal storm again!" With that command, Pink petals again circled around Vileplume's body. Unleashing another hurricane of nose tickling pollen and flying towards goldeen causing it to faint!

"You got lucky that time." Nessa said with a Sniffle as she sent Goldeen back to it's pokeball. "My next pokemon should (Sniffle) whack that weed of yours! (Sniffle) Go...go...ah...arro...AAHCHHOO!"

Nessa threw her pokeball as she sneezed and popping out of it was an arrokuda.

"Arrokuda, Use...ah...use...AH...AAH...AAAHH..."

Nessa quickly shoved her finger her nose to hold in her sneeze which worked just long enough to give arrokuda her command.

"Use Bite!"

The arrokuda charged towards Vileplume and managed to chomp a small quarter of it's HP.

"Big mistake, buddy!" Alex said. "Vileplume, Giga drain!"

Vileplume tilted it head causing it's pedals to shake off more clouds of pollen that hovered towards the gym leader's face and shot a bright green energy beam from its flower that wrapped around arrokuda's body and drained its energy.

Nessa felt another sneeze coming on. But she knew she had to try and hold it in if she wants to win. Unfortunately that only made the tickling in her nose even worse!

"Use...AH...Bite...AAH...again!...AAAHHHCCCHHHOOO!!!!!"

Arrokuda managed to understand her command and took another bite out of Vileplume!

Alex: Vileplume, Hit him with another giga drain!

Vileplume once more shot a bright green energy beam wrapping around arrokuda's body and draining  the last its energy causing it to faint.

"Looks like you're down to your last Pokémon" Alex said. "Guess that means it's time for my wishing star to work it's magic." And so Alex send Vileplume back to it's pokeball and the wishing star made it super sized.

"Alright, Vileplume. Ready,Set, DYNAMAX!" He said as he hurled his pokemon behind him. 

With that,the Vileplume grew into a giant!

"Time to flood the stadium and make it our ocean!" Nessa said with another sniffle. "Drednaw, time to Dynamax!" 

Nessa's drednew then grew to the same size as Vileplume.

Drednaw, Max Darkness! 

Drednaw summoned 2 ghostly looking arms, used them to attack Vileplume and landing a critical hit taking more half of its ho.

"You're down but not out!" Alex shouted. "Use max overgrowth!"

Vileplume then spat out some giant seeds that landed around Drednaw. They quickly grown into giant fungi that then exploded almost instantly. This created a literal mushroom cloud that coated the whole stadium causing almost everyone in the audience to sneeze their heads off!

As Nessa became surrounded by pollen, She felt like there were a million feathers flying around in her nostrils causing her already tortured nose to tickle like hell! 

Nessa: "AH...AAAHH...AAAHHHCCCHHHOOO!!! AAAAAHHHHHCCCHHHHHOOOOO!!!!! AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHCCCHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHCCCHHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!"

This is it, Vileplume! Finish him with one more max overgrowth! 

And so Vileplume attacked with a few more more exploding mushroom seeds causing the gym leader's final Pokémon to faint.

"All of Nessa's Pokémon are unable to battle." The referee said. "Alex wins!"

"YES! Alright Vileplume, we're done here." Alex said as he sent Vileplume back to its pokeball.

He then saw the gym leader who was still in a sneezing fit looking as if she was about to faint.

"I apologize if my Vileplume made the battle 1 sided." Alex said as he walked towards her handing her a pack of pocket tissues. "I guess she kinda over did it with the pollen."

"Don't worry about it. You beat me fair and square." Nessa said as she blew her nose. "Thanks for the tissues though. By the way, how come you weren't sneezing?"

"Simple really. I just have a kick ass immune system." He answered.

After Nessa handed him his badge, Alex walked out of the stadium when bumped into Hop.

Hop: "Hey there, Alex. How was your 2nd gym battle?"

Alex: "I got her badge. Though i feel kinda bad about how I won."

Hop: "What do you mean?"

Alex: "Well, I used my Vileplume to beat all 3 of her pokemon but her pollen caused Nessa to sneeze so much that it was nearly impossible for her to give her pokemon any orders. But she said it was no biggie"

Hop: "You don't say"

Alex: "Yeah. It actually makes for a pretty funny story now that I think about it! Though I can't help but wonder if some gym leaders in other religions have the same kinda problem with grass types..."
