Am I the only one?

I know that this is probably really weird but I am a fan of that sneeze - bless you - thank you exchange. However when I am at work, and you guys have to know that I work in a very big office, and someone sneezes I am just way to shy and nervous to say bless you. All of the others already say it so I'm always torn between oh that's okay the others didn't even notice that I didn't say anything and omg the others must think I am so rude because I didn't say bless you.

But when I am with my friends and someone sneezes I get really excited and love to say bless you.

So yeah that is kind of weird. Can anyone relate?

Totally relate to this and I agree that it's much easier without other people listening!

Really depends who it is though. I never bless family or bless other people in front of family. Much easier with (some) friends or even strangers.

Yeah totally. I would never bless family members or or bless someone when they are around. That would be the worst

I’ve never really had the courage to actually bless someone 😅

Neither could I when I was 18, but somehow I managed to start doing it when I was a little older.

Maybe try first with a friend who you are totally comfortable around, or with someone who blesses you (unless you only sneeze in private), because then it's just like you are reciprocating and they won't bat an eyelid.

Good luck!

I never bless my family, but I try to do it with friends, even though it's still a struggle for me. When a friend sneezes, a few seconds goes by before I strain myself to do it, and even then I hope someone else does it so I won't have to do it.

This sounds very understandable--there's something about a work environment that makes comments about even mildly sexual things awkward, and to those of us with a fetish, saying "bless you" can feel like one of those, even though to most people it is firstly polite, and secondly merely an acknowledgement of a very mundane event.

Yeah I know what you mean. I could never do it when I was younger and that once got me in such a weird, almost fetishy situation with 2 of my friends but I don't like thinking back to that situation because it was awful for me.

But then one day my best friend sneezed and I just said bless you. I said it in such a quiet and shy way but she heard it and really appreciated it and since then it's easier for me to bless my friends. But like I already said it's really hard at work

Ahahah

I’ve never thought like that tho your mind is adorable and interested to hear that.

I think I can say bless you to people naturally tho I’ll be totally embarrassed when someone said bless you to me
