angora48
With Shang-Chi coming out this weekend, I realize that a lot of people are probably just getting to know/fall in love with Tony Leung Chiu-wai, who plays Shang-Chi’s dad in the movie. I’ve been a fan of his for YEARS, and in his long filmography, he’s been so kind as to offer us a handful of lovely fetishy clips. I figured I’d better do my duty and share! Most of these are sick clips that don’t have any sneezing, but I figured people might still enjoy them – there’s some good feverish misery, shuffling around in a blanket, and temperature-checking to be had, yum! Just hit the “CC” button to get the English subtitles. Here we go! A Chinese Ghost Story III (1991) This is the one clip that includes sneezing! Tony Leung plays a young monk who teams up with a ghost to help her escape her evil mistress. He sneezes while hiding because it gets cold when the evil ghosts are nearby. The whole scenario is just wonderfully cute. The Days of Being Dumb (1992) Short, and the quality isn’t the best, but still a nice moment. Tony Leung plays a low-level triad/gangster desperate to prove himself. He gets sick after getting drenched while out on a job. Hero Beyond the Boundary of Time (1993) Technically, this isn’t even an actual sick clip, but Tony Leung is really nummy in it! He plays a legendary womanizer who’s displaced in time and transported to the present day, where he gets up to all kinds of mischief. He (very briefly!) pretends to be sick to get close to the woman he likes. Happy Together (1997) Tony Leung plays a guy who gets pulled back into a toxic dynamic with his ex-boyfriend (the ex gets beaten up, and Tony’s character feels obligated to look after him while he’s recovering.) He gets sick from being out in the cold. Shivery, sulky goodness! In the Mood for Love (2000) Tony Leung plays a man who develops a close bond with his neighbor after they discover that their spouses are having an affair with each other. He gets sick after getting caught in the rain. A bit of a weird clip, since we never actually see him WHILE he’s sick, but his neighbor’s shy/indirect caretaking is so sweet, I couldn’t resist! 2046 (2004) This one might be my favorite. Tony Leung plays a writer living in a hotel; he becomes close with the hotel manager’s daughter, and they start writing a martial arts adventure together. There’s absolutely no in-story reason for him to be sick in this scene but he is anyway, and I love it. Link to comment
angora48
Okay, so when I posted my original batch of clips a few months ago, I didn’t realize there was a Tony Leung Chiu-wai JACKPOT that was still out there waiting for me to see it. ‘Cause seriously, it’s like someone made a goofy rom-com specifically for my fetishy fangirl heart. My Lucky Star (2003) Tony Leung plays a feng shui expert who finds himself with the unluckiest woman in the world as a client. Due to a bad encounter their ancestors had with each other, her bad luck affects him physically, and he gets chills/feels feverish when she’s around him. Lots of sneezing/nose rubbing, plus a sweet montage with all kinds of lovely sick stuff. I’m in heaven! As with the earlier videos I posted, hit the CC button for English subtitles. angora48
I know, right? Saying, "Bless me," and feeling his forehead? Wrapped up in blankets and taking his temperature? All that sneezing?? Consider me melted! I don't know who keeps making these movies with sick and/or sneezing scenes and casting Tony Leung in them, but I'd like to take this moment and thank them. 🥰 Link to comment
