Advice on how to get over a Blessing Mental Block?

Okay, I know the obvious answer is just to try doing it more often. :awesum:

But has anyone ever had the mental block & gotten over it completely or at least gotten better at saying it to a select few?

One of the earliest posts that I made on this Forum over a decade ago was about having a mental block & I really kinda want to be over it now.

Any advice or helpful personal experiences to share?

I have never really gotten over an acute embarrassment of saying bless you to people, but I find it usually depends what mood I am in. Sometimes I will do it confidently, other times I kind of just freeze up about it

Me too! I think I have gotten good practice with saying bless you to people I have a little crush on because I actually find it easier (even exciting) to do that as opposed to the cringy awkward feeling that comes with blessing a friend or a family member. I still do not bless family members ever because it truly makes me want to crawl out of my skin, but I think I've slowly built up an ability to at least bless friends and it's just been through baby-steps for years.

I am still struggling with this mental block as well. It's gotten so bad that I dread to be alone with a stranger in fear that they might sneeze. (With me, being alone with a random stranger is unlikely, but it is now a fear that I have) When I occasionally make the decision to say it, my body tenses up and I strain to say it. I end up saying it quickly to get it over with, but like you I'm trying to say it more.
