March Hare
It is a sad time for the world of musical theatre: the great, the incomparable, Stephen Sondheim has died. He made us see the hat, where there never was a hat. We must remember him by enlivening all the Novembers after this one with music and words, not only his, but our own. Theatre is the ultimate art form, everything human beings can make has a place in it and it tells us our stories like nothing else. Let us celebrate it for its own sake and now also in remembrance of one who made himself immortal by making an absolutely invaluable contribution to this art form that will make the world a little bit better and more beautiful for the rest of time. Here's to you, Stephen Sondheim. Thank you for the music and the words. Look, we're wearing your hats. We're waving them in the air as we sing and dance to your memory. Link to comment
