Talking about Sneezing

Hi all! I hope I am posting this in the correct place, I'm rather new here, and still trying to figure out where to post, and what I can and cannot do 😅 

Anyway, with covid and everything, people tend to be more cautious when it comes to health, which I am too, but with the holidays, I have been with my family, and my folks have started doing this thing, were if you cough or sneeze, they ask you, "Why are you coughing?" or "why are you sneezing?" They mean no harm by it, and it's often in an almost teasing voice, but I can't help but squirm, when they ask me or someone else. I've also noticed when my friends talk about sneezing and such I get uncomfortable, and feel my cheeks heat up a bit. I have nothing against sneezing at all, (otherwise why would I be here 🤣), but I have really only just started to fully accept this whole sneezing thing, and I guess I have always known about it, but I just thought I was some creep that liked sneezing, turns out I was very wrong, and boy was I glad. But when people talk about it, I feel excited we are talking about sneezing, but a little uncomfortable and scared that they know my secret. No one else knows yet. 

I was just wondering if anyone else feels this way, and if so what do you do about it?

Don't worry, you posted this in the right place! I'm sure you will soon get used to all the different sub-forums and where to post things.

As far as the topic is concerned, it's very common for "people like us" to be uncomfortable talking about sneezing (especially with family members), so a lot of people on the forum will find what you said very relatable. I'm not sure I have much advice to give you other than to change the topic as quickly as you can!

I’m the same, I can’t even say “I have a cold” or anything similar to that because it’s so uncomfortable

I definitely feel you on that one. Luckily I haven't had a cold for a long time, but when I did, I hated saying anything about, the word made me feel all squiggly, and it was worse when friends would ask if I had a cold.

Hi, I am also new here and I’m not so sure on how this works either😅. I agree though, since I was younger I always felt a bit odd when people mentioned sneezes. I am still scared on how people would react if they found out so I keep it a secret. But i actually told my partner about it a few months ago and he was okay with it. It makes me a bit uncomfortable to talk about it still because it’s quite embarrassing to me, but I cant help it I’ve had the fetish for so long it’s hard to explain
