Sick for the first time in almost 3 years

Not really the best time to be sick honestly. I just had abdominal surgery last week. I was scared on Christmas because I was convinced it was the plague but I got tested today and was negative so yippie 😁

 

It started with a scratchy throat on Friday evening. I thought it was because the house was dry but I was just feeling... bleh. Which was weird because I was just starting to feel better since my surgery. Christmas comes along and the cough comes. Not very bad, but annoying and painful for my incisions. Then I was convinced it was C* so after looking through a million different testing locations that were all closed I decided to just do it the next morning.

 

I woke up today feeling similar to yesterday. Scratchy throat, progressively annoying cough and general bleh feeling. When my test came back negative I thought, “maybe it is just the air?” Went to a quick store and came home. About an hour later the headache started. I’m still thinking, “not sick. usually I get super congested the day after the sore throat. plus this is a weird scratchy throat, not really a painful throat”

 

Then a cement wall hit my face at around 8pm. My nose was so congested and runny all of a sudden. Usually I’m not a big sneezer but I’ve probably sneezed a dozen times the last few hours. I try to let them out to relieve some of the congestion. They’ve been coming in fits of 2 but there was one 3.

 

now I’m in bed wondering how I’m gonna feel tomorrow. There’s always still a chance it’s just the air right? Never mind the teeny tiny fever that comes and goes. We’ll ignore that too. Now if you’ll excuse me I need to go blow my nose for the 50th time.

Woke up at 4:45 am because I can’t breathe through my nose. My ears are a bit plugged and my throat feels raw. I took a painkiller late last night that must still be working because I don’t have a strong headache. As I’m typing this my nose is dripping like a faucet. Ugh I don’t have tissues or anything so I’m relying on paper towels.
 

definitely not the air. I blew my nose and- TMI is mucus grosses you out but- it’s turned a bit milk-ey. I don’t feel good at all 🤧

I’m sorry you got sick at an inopportune time, but I hope you can at least enjoy some of the symptoms. Thanks for sharing and hope you feel better soon!

I’m trying! I felt bad this morning but have been feeling better as the day goes on. I’ve only sneezed a couple of times so far. But my nose is sooo runny. It’s been going back and forth between clear and congested. I’m thinking I might have to induce later

Ohh man! Sorry that your sick but thank you so much for sharing! Love this! Really snotty headcolds are probably my favorite!
